Chicago Cubs Offseason Outlook brought to to you by Caulfield
kitekrazy replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Maybe they do it just for Cease and no Eloy. -
I'm trying to figure out the point of this decision. I guess it's roster filler so thy don't have to use Charlotte as the roster filler. It screams White Sox.

Chicago Cubs Offseason Outlook brought to to you by Caulfield

I'm jealous of their organization. They might be one of the few Chicago teams that is trying to do something right. They don't have an owner that is so out of touch with baseball reality. -
Despite the ability to stay on the field.

I liked him netter when he was with the Royals. I didn't even know who he was.

House of L Podcast - Why Be A Sox Fan?
kitekrazy replied to South Side Hit Men's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't think baseball in general is getting new fans. -
You don't need much defense when the ball goes over the fence.

Somehow we think there are naive GMs, scouts, not on the White Sox would see some potential. All organizatins deal with injuries and I doubt any of them have a faith healer for Eloy.

How well Bummer does may reflect the performance of Katz. How soon will it be though we hear how great he is doing like we heard after a couple of Lynn starts and the Sox version of Lynn appeared in the playoffs. Sure Bummer might be great for an inning with a decent lead but we'll see what happens in a high leverage situation.

They do nothing for a ML season. Sometimes those rankings are based on quantity and not quality. You can have a top ranked farm system nd most guys are in low A. A lot can happen where that means nothing. We are in the age of fragile players. This stuff always sounds good on paper. Getting another team's prospects looks good but their coaches don't come along with them.

The biggest myth in baseball.

Not possible. Rays have a superior system and not trying to be the new Royals.

It;s just a different kind of s%*# and forgetting that s%*# still stinks. I guess this is a stop gap not to drain Charlotte's future DFA roster

That explains it. He went KETO. -
Sorry, the only thing cheap is the roster.

Those guys did a charity basketball game across the street from my house. Billy Williams signed my glove and I used it because it was my only glove. Back in the day you thought it was cool yo have a player sign something. Today it is different, A parent would throw that in a vault and try to sell it later on. I understand why some celebrities refuse to do autographs.

Most likely it would be a fail to begin with since scouting and development are terrible. This is were media and fans haven't figured out where trade can be a bad word. Somehow we don't think other GMs realize that other organizations are bad in this area and fleece the other team. Haul is the biggest myth in baseball, much like a stocked farm system. Fans think this is a reality but ignore the ability to draft and develop. Few teams actually get this right. The Sox are not even close to right.

It's been a pattern he likes to take away the joy oof being a fan.

Mel Allen, Curt Gowdy, Mussberger was a great nat'l broadcaster. I come across NFL fans find it's a punishment for a national game instead of the local guy. In 2005 postseason I missed Hawk. Bermin was terrible and not really talented in that area.

Typical hitting coach.

White Sox Minor leaguers choosing free agency
kitekrazy replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
that might be your 2024 White Sox. -
Yet we ignore the Sox are bad at trades. Rebuild only works in fantasy sports and not the White Sox. It's not going to get better unless you buy scouts from low budget winning teams.

I feel the same way. I'm jealous of the Cubs organization. I was a Cubs fan when I was a little kid and it was day baseball. It will be interesting the future of Wrigley Field since it's a tourist attraction. I feel more sadness about the Sox like it's a funeral. I still haven't forget the excitement when they first signed Fisk and Luzinski, then you had Kittle as well in a park where there are no cheap homeruns. Reinsdorf was never cheap. I get his caution about spending big money since they are bad at it. A wise owner would invest in scouting and development. At one time the Sox were good at that.

Getz will probably blame that on KW and Hahn. At the same time there are scouts also responsible for the bad choices. If your first round pick doesn't work out you hope one of the other 20 picks may turn into something.

Who would really want to work for the front office when your control may be more limited than other clubs. See the TLR hire.
