  1. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 08:15 PM) I stream everyday. I click the Listen Live and get that Yahoo Sports stream. Is there a sporting event on the SCORE right now? That's the only reason I can think of not getting it.
  2. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) I have also heard some perculiar texts slash comments. Two that stick out Bernstein tweet: Dan Bernstein @dan_bernstein 30 Aug Nice slide, AJ. Now your teammates can detest you even more, as if such a thing is possible. Found that weird at the time a week ago And I cant find the quote but Mulley commented about how its been "odd AJ has been making mental Mistakes and something like there are rumors surrounding him swirling and he hoped AJ would come out okay". The score has to tread carefully with a story like this since they are in parternship with the Sox. So naturally they are going be very careful. But stil. I just have a bad feeling. And really what a shame this is for a great 2012 story and more importantly for us fans who have grown to love AJ. Just tough That's the way Bernstein is. Those things aren't 100% drug related. We have seen AJ play bad baseball before. If this is true, the news will be leaked before a press conference. Reporting first whether accurate or inaccurate is what a media does. (look for ESPN)
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) They went on the air around 4. It was within the first few minutes. All of the podcast seem to be taken down. That website totally sucked ever since CBS decided to combine everything. Can't stream the SCORE either.
  4. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) Actually B&B very briefly mentioned that they are hearing things but it's so loose that they don't know what to do with it and didn't find it worth talking about. What hour? I was checking today's podcasts.
  5. QUOTE (everafan @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) Many of the hosts have hinted at it recently. Name two. Define "recently". Be specific so we can test your accuracy by listening to SCORE podcasts.
  6. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:30 PM) Well that would take 26-0 To get to 90...16-10 in last 26. Let's do it. I like the 26-0. 90 doesn't win a division unless the 2nd place team wins 89 or less.
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 02:12 PM) According to the Sun Times, the players were encouraged repeatedly to bunt on Cabrera. KW does need to be careful about ever publicly dissing Robin. Ozzie, people could see how he could aggrevate you, but if KW ever gave Robin too much crap he decided to walk away, the Sox would have a tough time attracting top candidates for the job. If you can't get along with Robin, chances are you aren't going to be getting along with many people. Those guys are never on the Sox list.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 01:28 PM) Have we ever heard of Ventura calling out KW for giving him a crappy and/or completely inexperienced bullpen this year? That would be MORE fun. Ozzie in odd ways called out KW about the over all talent of the team. 2nd half collapses existed before Ozzie. What's happened in the current situation is two of your successful pitchers haven't pitched this many innings before. Two of your veteran starters are on the DL. Detroit should win this division. They give you the impression they aren't interested in doing that any time soon. They remind you of some of those Sox teams that should have won but they are slow and fundamentally flawed. This year's Sox are similar to a fan's perception of what the Twins were like. You have some guys that can run, and very good defense, clutch hitting and decent fundamentals.
  9. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 04:10 PM) Well, I that's just ridiculous. Also, answer the original question. Who do you want? You must have missed the Juan Pierre splitting with Viciedo debate. I know, it sounds silly.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 11:13 AM) Carlos has Viciedo in two categories, and that is walks which gives him a better OBP. Everything else is pretty damn close to what Viciedo is giving, plus much better defense. And lets not even mention how many games Quentin misses on a yearly basis That ability to play in a game is an important stat.
  11. Thanks Jake. Thanks Rios. BTW, looks like Beckham is hitting the ball again from the box score.
  12. QUOTE (zirc @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 07:46 AM) It's just proof that pitcher wins are a complete non-statistic. I still think they have something to say like team confidence. Aces win 20 games and they even do it on bad teams. Wins can separate an ace from a good pitcher. Peavy is not an ace.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 11:19 PM) And all 16,000 wish they were someplace else. Sox didn't deserve a crowd after the last 6 in Detroit. And tonight? They could be 2 up? You can't blow opportunities like tonight. They'd be right back to 2 up but couldn't beat the s***ty Twins again. Unacceptable. I'd expect the crowd tomorrow will be 5,000 to 10,000. It's like the Sox got that early lead for once and just stopped playing. Was it 3-0 or 4-0 after two innings? What a joke. I just think there are some Sox fans that got a hold of crystal balls that you or I can never find. It told them to stay home and they did.
  14. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 11:55 PM) Nobody wants it. I honesty think neither Detroit or Chicago will win more than one game in October anyway. Detroit would handle the Yankees. Sox starters are gassed. Also Sox owned the Rangers this year.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 5, 2012 -> 12:23 AM) Stupid staches!! Detroit and Chicago both sputtering pretty bad here - who snaps out of it first? Neither. Sox beat up on Twins and Indians, Det. beats up on Sox and Twins. KC is a misery for both. Tigers can stop the Indians even at home.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 11:41 PM) What's the point of going to the press? Maybe he should have more than 3 starting pitchers who are capable of pitching in August/September...see Sale/Quintana being arm weary and perhaps mentally drained, as Quintana normally has played 140 game seasons. Where was he when we needed at least one more starting pitcher. Why did he hire a manager with NO experience, and now he's going to complain about it? As much as he gets defended for this season, and rightfully so, maybe we need both of them gone (Ozzie/KW) just so the entire organization can have a completely fresh start. Maybe even Cooper, although if there's anyone who should get the benefit of the doubt, it's probably him. When a 6 man rotation was possible, he decided 5. I'm still surprised this team is in 1st when 2 veteran starters are on the deal. I would like see Coop get a chance to work with Liriano in Feb. adn see how that works.
  17. I'd say some of those things reflect back on Kenny. It's the will, the intellect and the talent Fans always question will. Intellect-not sure what he means here. In the past we've seen a lot of baseball dumb Sox teams under Kenny. The exception is this year if you add fundamentals as intellect. He also hired a manager with no experience. Much is on him as well.
  18. Note to all Sox pitchers: Never throw perfect games. Signed, Phil Humber Mark Buehrle
  19. Twins' won't be able to hit the ball tomorrow. The pitching wore them out.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 07:38 PM) That, and there is no competition. Let's face it, if Chicago had one team, that team would have an insane fanbase I still think there is a distrust with Sox fans when it comes to Reinsdorf and the team winning. These are the ones you probably never see here or WSI. If they were smart they would probably do some surveys. Who knows, it could be start times or other things.
  21. Maybe Gordo can single handedly take down the Twins again.
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 07:33 PM) No, that's not correct. Reinsdorf is notoriously tightfisted with the bulls and the front office has been extremely conservative for years, and they make bank on sellout after sellout. It is polar opposite with the white sox, Kenny the gambler, a competitive payroll, and fans don't show. 6 championships buys a lot of long term loyalty.
  23. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 07:23 PM) If they make the playoffs they absolutely should. I see no reason why Jerry wouldnt give the green light. Even if they don't, being close, they might spend the money.
