  1. It's been a pattern he likes to take away the joy oof being a fan.
  2. Mel Allen, Curt Gowdy, Mussberger was a great nat'l broadcaster. I come across NFL fans find it's a punishment for a national game instead of the local guy. In 2005 postseason I missed Hawk. Bermin was terrible and not really talented in that area.
  3. Yet we ignore the Sox are bad at trades. Rebuild only works in fantasy sports and not the White Sox. It's not going to get better unless you buy scouts from low budget winning teams.
  4. I feel the same way. I'm jealous of the Cubs organization. I was a Cubs fan when I was a little kid and it was day baseball. It will be interesting the future of Wrigley Field since it's a tourist attraction. I feel more sadness about the Sox like it's a funeral. I still haven't forget the excitement when they first signed Fisk and Luzinski, then you had Kittle as well in a park where there are no cheap homeruns. Reinsdorf was never cheap. I get his caution about spending big money since they are bad at it. A wise owner would invest in scouting and development. At one time the Sox were good at that.
  5. Getz will probably blame that on KW and Hahn. At the same time there are scouts also responsible for the bad choices. If your first round pick doesn't work out you hope one of the other 20 picks may turn into something.
  6. Who would really want to work for the front office when your control may be more limited than other clubs. See the TLR hire.
  7. Why do people feel like they need to switch to the Northside. Of course the Northside is every kid on the block has new shoes and the Southside is like hand me downs. I think the Sox should move to Nashville and stop being the White Sox. Reinsdorf joked about not signing Ohtani while Cub fans think signing him is very possible. The team in my neighborhood just made it to the World Series. I'm tempted to be a fan but I can't watch then on MLB and I'd have to fork out more money to Cox to watch them. What's sad is I'm down the street from Camelback Ranch. Right now I feel like an A's or Royals fan - no hope.

I'll treat this as sarcasm. I guess you haven't noticed the Sox are the dumpster for Royals everything.
  9. I think the agent said walk. This is going to be an expensive market for pitchers. Stroman walked away from $21M. It could be pitchers are looking for long term contracts.
  10. Thinking about switching to a different team. If the Sox were a loaf of bread that is poor quality do we still eat and buy the bread? Odd how we worship sports organizations. I think the only thing that is attractive about this organization is the stupidity. People like that

and let's not forget the Sox are bad a trades We are fans of a habitual losing small market....the team should be renamed Royals East
  12. So what Royal player will replace him and make every fan forget the TA hate?
  13. This is where the Sox are not different from many teams. Even those post season teams.
  14. We have the symptoms and that's the cure. We like to use the word trade and can't complete any thought after that. Never keep better players with a hope the replacements will be better, Haven't figured out hauls are the biggest myth in baseball. We are fans of a budget team that always makes bad choices. We are no different than the Pirates, A's, I would say the Royals but the Sox are now the Royals. I we need is lot attendants and vendors from the Royals. Our hope in free agency is similar to those teams. It's not the same in LA, NY, or even Cubs or even Philiies. I give the Padres and Mets owers some credit because they got big names. I often wonder if Veeck still owned the would the Sox be more like the Rays. He knew he couldn't afford players and wanted to invest in scouting.
  15. Maybe this isn't the end of the world. Could it be any worse? Maybe he'll do fine. Somehow I get the real successful teams hold on to their top front office people and pay them well.
  16. You never know, he might decide to retire instead. No team would do that option.
  17. That's almost average in modern day baseball.
  18. The small market habitual losing fanbase syndrome strikes again. Next up is the Sox/Royals rivalry in the battle for last place. Clevinger is basically looking for more money in an overpaid market. It's business. Some owner will risk giving him more money than Jerry. I'm sure media heads will throw around "culture".
  19. He would be another NL veteran that would fail in a Sox uniform. Not everyone leaves a team like the Dodgers. I don't see the doom and gloom in this one.
  20. Symptoms of the small market habitual losing fanbase syndrome Trades seem to have a high failure rate in this organization. I like those idiotic owners who treat it more as a sport than a business.
  21. Don't teams usually "rush" college players?
