QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 08:16 PM) They will lowball who ever they pick Sox spend no money on the draft picks anyway. Most of them turn out to be worthless anyway.
-
QUOTE (TitoMB @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 08:11 PM) Coop'll fix 'im! When there is no pressure.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) Rios continues to have no idea how to slide. Never seen a player so fundamentally awful in every aspect of the game. That's the way Kenny Likes 'em.

Hudson up to 15 wins and beat the division rival. DBs got the better half of that deal.

And that, my friends, is a White Sox season

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) I love how you guys keep saying this as though anyone who wants a rebuild is completely ignorant. I am well aware that it may take years, and I'm fine with that. I'll watch anyway. Unless it's a Royal's rebuild. When are they going to finish it? They still have to hit on their draft choices. -

QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 09:21 AM) Yes, it is almost certainly over. This is not even close to a bad team, just a disappointing and frustrating one. I commend the team for clawing back into a race they had no business being in. However, they will finish probably 10 games worse than they should. Maybe they are a bad team. It seems the pitching is good at folding under pressure. Even before Ozzie was manager you would see Sox teams fold under pressure. -
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 03:54 PM) Ozzie Guillen. I say this not to be flippant or dismiss the post because a change might certainly happen, but my bet is since Ozzie has a contract for 2012 and Jerry ius a loyal owner, who likes both KW and Ozzie. 2012 might be the make or break year. I wouldn't rule it out.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 4, 2011 -> 04:05 PM) I'd cream my panties for a LaRussa/Duncan combo. I mean, if Coop didn't want to stay, of course. Duncan is still under a contract for 2012.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 09:21 PM) I hink anything that could go wrong, backfire or explode on this team has happened this year. So very frustrating. But, I don't see a ned to "rebuild". Some tweaking here and there and 2012 could be a lot better I'm not sure you can tweak folding under pressure which is a pattern for the century. It was the same thing under Manuel. When it came to a showdown, the Sox wet the bed. I guess there is no measurement for how well players do in clutch situations. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 09:15 PM) Floyd has no killer instinct he leaves alot to be desired. That's basically the staff in a nutshell except for MB. Coop can't fix the mental midget syndrome. -
QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 04:46 PM) I swear...I've never been a DBag fan...but i am green with envy of the culture that staff of Gibson, Don Baylor and Trammel has instilled in that team. Gibson is the kind of manager that I always envisioned my pipe dream for Sox manager (Carlton Fisk) would be. It's just time for change... Same here. Plus their park and prices are a very pleasant experience.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) get rid of kenny, get rid of ozzie, get rid of everyone and lets start over. I'd LOVE to straight up rebuild for a year or two. It would be almost impossible for this team to rebuild in two years. I don't trust the scouting in this organization. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 07:10 PM) I will no longer watch games in which Mark Buehrle doesn't pitch. This could be Mark's last month. So I will cherish his starts. Besides that, I will only track Viciedo, De Aza and Flowers. If it is, I'm all out for 2012. They would have to impress me to take interest. I'd hate for him to go but he does not fit in since most of the staff is full of mental midgets. -

I guess this could be good or bad based on anyone's perspective. The Sox are 10 games out from 4th place. -

The real story here is the Sox strayed too far past .500. They had to get back to normalcy. Kinda like the saying "a dog returns to it's own vomit". -

Trouble started with the mental midget starter who decided to give the Tigers hope. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) Now its AJ's fault? Wow. Pitchers aren't held accountable on Soxtalk unless your name is Jake Peavy. I suppose that's fair. Its not their fault if they are good. Its all Don Cooper. So if they suck, its because of AJ and if they are good its because Don Cooper is the pitching coach. It could be Kenny's as well. The teams under Kenny's regimes seem to have a mental breakdown. I don't know if you can reveal that in sabermetrics or whatever they use. -

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 05:59 PM) Haha, mental midget is the new "bad at baseball" That's basically this team since the turn of the century. Way too many players fail under pressure. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) Be glad you got to see any of it. I just went out and bought new glasses since that's the only game I get. Fox didn't show the Sox on the West Coast and it's also blacked out on mlb.com. Now I'm listening to Rongey defending Walker. Ugh. I'm gonna start defending Charles Manson. -

I'm really sick of the East Coast bias in professional sports. I know there is a rain delay, but I really don't care to see Boston beating up Texas. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 3, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) Please don't. Trading for him was a colossal failure. Trading him away was not. I'd trust him on the mound over Peavy and Humber at this point. But it does make sense for the long term.
