  1. The Cubs are trying the get that Sox stink off of him. His baseball stupid is still there, His base running helped them lose. I get the feeling in a season or two he will not remain in that organization, Cubs are into developing players not fixing bad ones.
  2. Only JR can create a fanbase where fans will watch the other side. Cubs are a good team to watch only because they exceeded 2023 expectations. If anything it makes the Cub haters jealous. I've been watching the Marlins and Dodgers. Once i finalize mt divorce from the Sox, it will be a West Coast team. The Dodgers/Sox facility is down the street. I don't have the overpriced cable package to watch the DBacks and they are blocked on MLB.
  3. Interesting theory is you can have an all star lineup and a team still can't play together,
  4. Doesn't every team? What organization would give that up? I only know of one that is naive and they don't have one.
  5. Wait till next year the Sox will best that. 46-100 will also be the average attendance.
  6. There's a lot of bad pitching this year.
  7. None of the contenders bothered to put in a wavier claim.
  8. They took Bummer out. Put in Kopech and so shall it be.
  9. To be a Sox you need to bat LH and be really bad at baseball just as long as you bat LH.
  10. I could see that for those who loathed LaRussa. The reality is Pedro came from an organization that is bad at everything. He hasn't a clue of what a blueprint of consistent winning is. Getting someone from a large market or a far better organization than the Royals. The only thing one could've got excited about is it wasn't a former player, The decision making in this organization is going to suck in my lifetime. Jerry might be one of those guys who manages to live past 100. I know baseball is a business but you have to wonder what kind of emotional damage some of these players went through these 3 years. If Colas makes his way into a more reliable organization he will most likely be a better player.
  11. How often does sending a player down actually improve their fundamentals? I assume they were never addressed in the minors.
  12. Sounds closer to a fantasy than reality. Trade is a bad word. Sox would still get fleeced. Baseball might be running out of naive GMs since the most of them land here. The idea is stupid to being with. Let him learn to pitch the rest of the season. Somehow we have hopes there is another Rick Hahn or Chris Getz that only sees the million dollar arm and not the 10 cent brain. They could easily find dumpster dive pitchers better than him. There are career minor leaguers that could produce the same result. Someone in the organization doesn't wanted to admit failure and still trying to develop him. He and Bummer are the untouchables. That also means no GM would touch them either.
  13. Trade is such a bad word for this organization. While fans of other teams that are not habitual losers can talk as if they're solutions, for the Sox it just takes suck to a new level.
  14. Losing is a habit and they know how to suck. Sox gonna be like them, already are just a bigger payroll.
  15. Meanwhile Lynn is proving what he is. Lucky the Dodgers don't need to win games and they got someone who will eat innings. The thing is the Dodgers offense doesn't quit.
  16. Those are the teams you have to beat. Those are also the dangerous teams that have nothing to play for and seem to beat the contending teams. Then there's tje Sox who like to play dead.
  17. They invested in scouting and development and have the philosophy of pitching and defense. When they spend the big money players will perform for them. Even Madrigal improved after some development in their farm system. I don't consider not having him as a loss but he got better. He's now Nicky Four Barrels. I've watched the former players like Abreu and Burger. The Marlins are fun to watch and the AL West got really interesting. Anyone but the Sox is my motto and it will carry on possibly for my lifetime.
  18. Since the Sox are becoming more like the Royals wouldn't this be an inter squad game?
  19. They quit last year against Cleveland when it mattered.
