We all must hate ourselves for enduring another White Sox game.

Stink spreads on this team. MB doesn't have it tonight. Who is gonna suck next? Instead of pick to click, how about bloke to choke.

I think most coaches have little effect on veterans. I assume they are there for younger players. It is odd that both Chicago teams have more than their share of power hitters and they all shut off at once. I just hope Beckham doesn't get fence happy.

Is this the #1 Reason for our 2nd half debacle

I'm not sure what happened anymore. Maybe Dennis Green can clear it up. "They are who we thought they were." -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 04:07 PM) The "end" of the steroid era has seen a lot of position players suddenly tank. And a whole team like the Indians.

I think we'll see Jenks again with the intention of unloading him by the trade deadline. Then again he might be better next season.

QUOTE (Pumpkin Escobar @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 10:20 AM) I am sure it was mentioned before but why would any of us want Bradley? Outside of it meant he was dealt for Linebrink in this scenario, the guy isn't worth the money and isn't worth the hassle. He averages like a whole 90 games played a season, puts the blame on anything but himself, and just should have 0 reason to be in a discussion. Especially considering he is still getting 20 mil or whatever the next 2 years. No thanks. I guess it's a reminder that this planet hasn't run out of stupid fans.

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 23, 2009 -> 09:05 AM) Thunderbolt of all players to hitch your wagon to why Bradley? Some fans reach the point that anyone outside the team has to be better. It's often desperation. In modern day baseball teams change so much and winning it all has a lot to do with what team is hot at the time and many players having a career year. It's a crap shoot.

So they were playing Mauer to hit to the opposite field? -

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 08:12 PM) Danks hasn't looked as good this year as he did last - i hope he comes out strong next year. Sophomore slump. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 08:08 PM) Delmon was trying to hit that to right field, you know move the runner. Unlike us. For the Sox to do that they gotta use a left handed batter. -

I thought hits like that only happened at the Twinkie Dome. -

OK, I must have gotten a hold of some really good crack. I just saw more hits by the Sox in one inning than I've seen in a week. -

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 07:47 PM) wouldn't surprise me in the least. What would be really ironic is if the Sox help them by taking 4 of 6 from Detroit. -

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 07:43 PM) wonder if the tigers are going to be like the cards were in 06...sneak in as the worst team and then win it all. I think the Twins are going to take the division. -

Looks like Danks is struggling. One thing I noticed about this team is STINK spreads. -
Funny how these thread starts with "I was thinking" or "just a thought", and I'm thinking "hell no they're not!".

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 02:29 PM) I'd think there's a good shot that the Twins will be better next year, assuming Morneau comes back and Mauer doesn't start the season on teh DL. Their pitching staff under-performed this year, and how often does that happen to the Twins? Interesting when you have as little talent as they have they stick around in the playoff hunt most of the time because they know how to play the game. They might have won the division last year if they had Santana. I always hate watching the Sox play the Twins because they are really great at exposing the Sox lack of fundamentals. The "why doesn't Ozzie work on fundamentals in Spring Training" is a bunch of crap. Players should have these down before they enter professional baseball. This is my rant about the Sox organization. Kenny had hopes the minor leaguers would step up this year. Josh Fields can't catch a baseball and yet they thought they can fix this when it was probably a weakness back in high school. There are some things that if they don't have before entering the minors, they probably will never have. Then there was Jerry Owens-who can only run. Too many bad ballplayers. You look now, most people consider the best player on this time is a guy who was recently playing college ball. I don't know a lot about the Sox farm system (I need to change that) but I judge from what I've seen at the beginning of the year.

QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 10:41 AM) Agreed. Bradley has been an angry guy for years. I don't hang out in the right field bleachers at Wrigley, so I don't know what is said or not said out there, but if I had a racist detector, it would probabaly be locked in on Bradley. And, using his three year old's experiences as an excuse is lame. Who makes racial taunts to a three year old? Other three year olds? Parents? This is the result of the "everyone gets a trophy" generation. Imagine if the guy said, "I'll admit I've really sucked this year." Some of the greatest athletes have no problem criticizing their performances.

QUOTE (WCSox @ Sep 22, 2009 -> 10:45 AM) Unlike video games and fantasy sports, character matters in the real world. Bingo! The North Side had one of the best teams in baseball last year but it's the character issue that will always make them come up short. We let stats and fantasy sports erode our sports intelligence. There was a Sox fan on the SCORE talking to Stone that he would trade Rios for Bradley straight up.
