  1. Leave out the factor he plays in the NL and somehow is just going to put up those same numbers for the Sox. Maybe just maybe it will finally work. I know the arguments already the Sox never sign the good free agents. Long forgotten is the giddyness of signing Grandal. I guess they can keep trying someday to make it work. History hasn't worked in the Sox favor. He still a young player and would adjust after next season. It's a pipe dream. I doubt they would trade him. He also has leg soreness. He'd fit in with this team with Vaughn and Bubble wrap Tony. This team seems to have a curse or two. I'd like a Ted Williams, or a Mantle, along with a Palmer, and Maddox. Who knows maybe he is on Kenny's always wanted list and he will be on the team 15 years from now. I'm sure they'd take TA, Robert, Eloy and Leury (just to be nice) for him.
  2. That was the usual dumpster diving than worked. Meanwhile this 8 runs probably means being shutout tomorrow. Sheets and Vaughn will be on the bench and Tony trying to insert Leury into the lineup twice.
  3. Still waiting for age to set in on Scherzer, Verlander. Today it's throw the ball as hard as you can for 5 innings. Hopefully you have guys in the pen that can throw as hard as you can. BTW there is a college pitcher than can throw 105. I heard there's plenty of young injured pitchers available for the draft.
  4. It's pretty hard for angry fans to take a step back and resort to kneejerk reactions as in ditching every player. People got upset at a Stone Tweet that addressed this. I get the impression Hahn is #4 on the list of being in charge. Reinsdorf hiring Tony I don't think was Hahn's choice. There is conspiracy theory Hahn wont improve the team under Tony. This team is lifeless and they have the personality of the manager. It would be a bad move to change the players when it's the manager and staff that needs the change. The Yermin incident was the turning point. How many managers throw a player under the bus after a win? While the Sox are stupid one the bases they still have the same base coaches since Ventura.
  5. It's odd that Abreu and Anderson got the largest votes. Usually the "real" large market player get the popular votes.
  6. How does a manager deal with a mentally weak pen? After hitters seeing the same pitcher 3 times, the advantage should be to the guy coming in needing one out. I didn't mind Gio in because usually the pen struggles after 2 outs and Sox have been giving up late leads under the Katz era.
  7. That's why they shouldn't make trades and and pursue AL players in the offseason.
  8. You wont hear that on Comcast with the former Sox players but it's preached daily on the SCORE.
  9. That's an obvious answer. It's the same guy who hired him that regretted firing him.
  10. While players should know better but Boston and McEwing have been under 3 managers.
  11. So someone give me some logic as to what a manager would bat Pollock 2nd?
  12. His bat was no suppose to be important because they other guys were suppose to do the job.
  13. The problem with this team is the run differential is always small. That leaves for Tony, boneheaded play, someone's turn in the pen to choke, to ruin it. Odd though is when the put up a bunch of run they make up for it by losing the next day.
  14. I don't get it either. It's not like he's a Sox killer. Well he probably would be if the Sox signed him. But if TA signed with the Cards definitely.
  15. Like his so called future replacement? I don't know why I'm down on Vaughn but after a great game - 2 days rest. I'd think players would want to be on the field.
