QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 08:43 PM) The only way you could have enough cap space to sign three max guys is to completely clear your roster. Three max players is just barely under the salary cap, so keeping anyone on the roster would make it impossible. There's no way the Bulls could get all three, it'd only be two of them. What is Max right now, 16.6?

Wade > Rose, people. Stop sipping the local Kool-aid. Unless rose gains some weight, and ultimately sacrifices his agility in the process.. he won't ever be the same type of guard that Wade is, someone who is, as so eloquently put in 'Tropic Thunder', "in the s***". Rose is awesome but Wade > Rose
-
Can someone explain to me why Rose would have to be traded anywhere to get Lebron/Bosh/Wade? All 3 guys' teams have pretty much no say in who they're getting back in a sign and trade. It's either they accept the sign and trade, and get something in return, or their player walks and they get nothing. Also, Rose's contract isn't high enough for it to be bumping up against the cap if we were able to dump Deng's contract to the TBz's is it?

Wade and Lebron want to create a new Legacy in a new city? f***ing insane if true

Don't worry, the Twins won't give up any real talent for Lee. Nobody has ever given up any legit talent for him (I think every prospect that's been traded for Lee is in the Minors right now, putting up sub-par numbers)

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) I think that approach is pretty commonplace here, so I don't think much flaming will be in order. But I don't see a whole lot from the Twins that makes me think they are going to be running away with anything. Look at their run differential, then look at ours. Edit: Oh, and if you don't want to buy into Run Differential, check out their interdivisional splits: MIN vs. CHW: 3-2 vs. CLE: 4-2 vs. DET: 6-3 vs. KC: 6-3 CHW vs. MIN: 2-3 vs. KC: 4-5 vs CLE: 4-8 vs DET: 3-1

So uh, Rays beat the twins. Big surprise It's really starting to pan out the way everyone else in the off-season predicted: The AL Central is a very mediocre division, with the top 3 teams being mediocre. The Twins are the best "Mediocre" team in the division. I'll be very surprised, especially with the way we played the Royals (read: pathetically), that we're anywhere closer to the Twins than we are right now (2 GB), in a week's time. My prediction: We'll be about 4 GB in a week, after the Rangers have their way with us I f***ing hate the Rangers, and I hate the Twins flame away, but I'm far from sold on this team, psychologically FRAGILE.

PDcavsinsider The Russian has landed, meeting soon. Also, sources say LeBron host plan is Heat & Clippers tomorrow then Bulls Saturday. Cavs to follow.
-
I think LBJ is going to Cleveland, but the only real arguement that I can wrap my head around for him *not* going back would be that he wouldn't have even tested free agency, and would've signed an extension with the Cavs during the season. Unless he changed his mind. Damn mind changing.

Al_Iannazzone ESPN says James will make decision by July 5. We've been saying all along it's going to be over quickly.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 08:26 AM) I'm bored... And sick to death of hearing about Lebron James. How about Beckham and Pierre to the Royals for David DeJesus and Alex Gordon. Then Hudson and another lower level prospect to the Nationals for Dunn. Get off the Xbox

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) So much for Luke Scott for now, from his Yahoo player page. Nah, he'll make 3 starts in september for us.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 11:41 PM) Hypothetical: If trading Noah to the Raptors guaranteed you Bosh, yay or nay? um, do you mean if it guaranteed you LEBRON? of course it would guarantee you bosh, that's a no-brainer and would be the point of sending noah there in the first place.. sign and trade for Bosh if it guaranteed you lebron, you'd be a fool to say no

jgoff670 This is for everyone who continues to ask, I believe it will be a major upset if Lebron James isn't a Chicago Bull. typical a chicago guy would say this

LeBron James is an unrestricted free agent.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) Nah. Pena's right-handed. Maybe he should try with his left hand then.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) Maybe you should quit while you're ahead... "Alright, well why don't we smooth the head down to nothing, stick a pumpkin under its arm and change the nameplate to Ichabod Crane?" "Hey hey, that's it for me, thanks!"

WojYahooNBA League exec. says ATL owners thought for offering Joe Johnson max deal is they won't still own Hawks at end of contract to have to pay it. wow.

I still say LeBron stays in Cleveland, but I'm hoping he comes here... but I'm not holding my breath. I just think there's too much on the line, including his reputation nationally (I've already heard Letterman say LeBron isn't a man if he leaves), more money being left behind, and who knows... maybe his conscience will weigh on him to stay because let's face it, if he leaves Cleveland that organization is destroyed. I really think all signs point to him staying there.

Williams, adi-f***ing-os.

I expect this team to continue it's struggles against Kansas City and Cleveland for the remainder of the year
