when a 100+million payroll team approaches top 5 overall pick, you'd have to think someone is gonna lose their job. -

lmfao idk how people can even entertain paying real money to see them play though I guess sale starts would be the only ones I'd pay to go to but you knew that 1-0 lead would evaporate
-
this team was going through the motions back in april they were never prepared to be successful this year

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 19, 2015 -> 12:10 AM) I was listening to the SCORE and hiring Robin was a big mistake to being with. He didn't apply for it, had to be coaxed, so there will never be any passion. this x1000. this isnt robins fault. its jerry and Kenny's -
QUOTE (jdupps @ Jun 18, 2015 -> 02:57 PM) Keep this team together and with a top 3 pick each of Sale's next four years draft a SS,2B,3B, and C. Looking back over the last 4 years that might be players like: 2012 Correa SS Buxton OF Zunino C 2013 Bryant 3B Frazier OF Appel P 2014 Schwarber C,OF Gordon SS Jackson OF 2015 Swanson SS Bregman SS Rogers SS In the mean time we can enjoy Sale pitching every 5th game and Abreu batting with no one on. sox have proven to be incapable of dwveloping position players

so when does comcast decide that they wanna void their contract w/ the sox? lolol -
Should the Sox make an example out of someone?

QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 08:58 PM) Easy the manager. This team is lifeless right now. Right now they are playing like s*** and nothing is happening to him. Hahn needs to get rid of Robin and get more involved. 1. getting rid of robin right now does nothing. trading players who aren't needed (during a much needed rebuilding phase) does a lot. 2. firing a guy who you reached out to, a guy who didn't even ask for the job, is a pretty s***ty thing to do. honestly I'd think even less of the Sox if they fired this dude. they should've never hired him to begin with, THAT'S the problem, they're f*cking inept. -
don't worry guys, we'll fire the hitting coach in a few years. that's good enough right? -jerry
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 05:31 PM) Just to gauge your thought process here: What would the Sox receive from STL? dunno I see people talk up their farm system a lot and theyre always successful every year
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 05:42 PM) Sox fans can't handle a couple of months of bad baseball. They would have a conniption fit if Chris Sale got traded, no matter what the return. cant handle losing? been here last few years. id say im pretty used to mediocrity
-
QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 05:18 PM) if they trade him they may as well relocate to a different city. The White Sox would be done in Chicago. lol nah thats a bit of an exaggeration
-
this was talked about last year. general consensus was no (and I agreed) its a year later. figured its at least worthy of discussion if nothing else with his contract/remaining yrs, what is the proper value for #49 imho you need someone whos got a stud catcher who cant miss as a top priority in the deal as well as a cant miss SP
-
im sure the sox already know what teams would give up for him tho they probably get calls on a regular basis
-
QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 14, 2015 -> 05:07 PM) i am with you. in the right trade, with the right team, the sox can get back a 3b, a cat and a top line rp in the minors for next yr moving up. flip the rp with a sp in the minors for a sp and a cat. this is my fantasy at being a gm that i thought of. id be on the phone with STL like yesterday

Chris Sale on the cusp of making swing-and-miss history
Real replied to Whisox05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
5 straight starts with 10 or more k's? 6? incredible -
nobody is a bigger sale fan than I am but moving him has to at least be in the discussion hes the type of guy you could refresh half the starting lineup with in trade returns other than kershaw hes probably the most valuable SP trade piece in baseball

Hawks were the worse offensive team overall tonight and still managed to win the game, they got a ton of s*** they need to clean up though
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 13, 2015 -> 05:45 PM) Still stupid comment at the time smh, give me a break dude, this team blows leads like it's going out of style i play the odds bro
-
QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 13, 2015 -> 05:34 PM) I didnt realize they end in ties lol

why am I reading that he was a reliever in college? did he do both? -
QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 8, 2015 -> 09:54 PM) I think the Hawks are the better team, but we have not played better for more than a handful of minutes in this series. its clear that they're evenly matched teams, i dont think you can say one team is better than the other one thing i notice that's glaring between the two is the lightnings puck handling, it's so far and away better than the hawks, and they dont turn the puck over nearly as much either you have to set up your offense strategically to score on Bishop, whereas Crawford will occasionally let in routine s*** that should be saved by any NHL goalie those might be the factors that cost the hawks the cup
