The inability of our hitters to get on base and score runs, is going to ultimately destroy this pitching staff When will Kenny Williams assemble a lineup of guys with the ability to get on base above a .330 clip? White Sox Baseball: Moneyball, it is not. I think I'm gonna create the term Kennyball, you heard it here first -

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 20, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) I think he's right. Word has it that the Sox upper management was using the first 12 games in the second half to evaluate if they're contenders or not. If we lose this one and a few of the next - I think a sell off is likely. sell off what? Rios and Dunn are the contracts that are destroying this team (And Peavy's) sell off the contracts that are actually helping the team, and keep the trash? this makes no sense. -

Peavy's stuff is so lackluster, he's done...

QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 18, 2011 -> 09:40 PM) Ye of little faith! you're damn right. how many times have we seen ozzie ask guys to bunt who cant? how many times has matt been burned this year in the 9th inning? leave guys be set in their roles, stop f***ing with it
-
thornton in a save situation? ozzie never learns

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 06:32 PM) And I'm not an Ozzie apologist

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 02:43 PM) We might have the worst hitting bench in the history of the AL. WHY WHY WHY force Beckham to do somthing he's not comfortable with when he's been hitting so well the last 15 days? Do you know who our manager is? -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 17, 2011 -> 02:02 PM) Just looked up VMart's splits vs LHP/RHP. Not very happy right now. I don't get that he was too good of a clutch hitter to pitch to him in that game Cabrera homered off of Crain in the 9th, but not good enough to pitch around with an open base. its true, this team wins in spite of that fool -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) The Braves are looking for a RH bat I think... IMO Quentin or Viciedo gets dealt to the Phillies if we deal anybody significant, they need RH power badly and either/or, will be a s***ty day to be a Sox fan

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 16, 2011 -> 11:32 PM) A shutout vs. DET? Who would want this guy? is this a serious post? look at his season overall... Peavy CGSO the tribe this year didnt he? his numbers still arent anything but mediocre
-
i wanna get excited for this win but i know what the next six games are gonna look like ;(
-
pretty obvious what ozzie is doing trying to win with the talentless turds in the pen (bruney/ohman), so he can preserve his better arms
-
Konerko's OBP should be around .600 by the end of the year with Dunn behind him. lol
-
what, no Brian Roberts love? lol
-
Rios could be dealt without having to eat any of his salary, but you'd have to throw in quality with it I'd imagine a team like ATL would take Rios+Danks and toss a decent prospect our way I also think Buehrle signs another 3-year deal for about 9-10m/year in the offseason No way Jackson returns. Buehrle, Humber, Peavy, Floyd, #5 starter Lots of money off the books (Danks arb. value would probably be around 9m, Jackson was like 8m? Pierre's gone, Rios' albatross contract is gone Need a young talented CF who can leadoff, corners are set already, IF is set already And a decent chunk of money off the books for 2012.. Keep in mind, Sale could be in the rotation and we might have found a hidden gem in Santiago Pitching-wise, we might be 'OK', in the rotation, and stellar in the pen for 2012 IMO next year has all the signs of being what this year should've been

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 09:49 PM) That's Paulie's take. So good. translation: i'm doing my job, these other sad pathetic pieces of s*** need to get their heads out of their ass

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 10, 2011 -> 05:04 PM) We have a second half to play. It can still be turned around. So let's not be burning everyone at the stake please lmao, i should bump the 'we can still turn it around in the second half' posts from the last 4-5 years we know what we have, a team that plays poorly in the 2nd half

off topic, but anybody even mildly interested in a good boxing scrap, if you have HBO, watch this fight (it was live last night, re-airing right now) one of the biggest robberies in boxing it's an action packed fight though that should've been stopped in the 10th rd

last sox game i'm watching this year, i have better s*** to do with my time i'll check here to see if anyone loses their jobs (Ha, yeah right) f*** this team with a rusty iron rod.

if alexei was hitting about .300, his OBP would be near .360, he must've taken a lot more walks this year than in years past too bad he's only hitting .275
