  1. QUOTE (FlySox87 @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) That's it. I'm f***ing done with this s***. This is f***ing garbage. Have fun at the AS Game, PaulStar. And for the love of God, can we just put the HOF chat about Paulie to rest now? Do people actually believe that? He doesn't have a chance. LOL
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 08:26 PM) LMAO!!!! Agreed!
  3. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 08:21 PM) Glad you find this so funny with all of the "LOL"ing you've been busting out around here. LOL
  4. lol at the people who paid to go to this game, i hope drinks are free tonight
  5. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 7, 2011 -> 12:26 AM) What's really sad is fans believe the biggest hope is playing in the minors right now. Imagine what it will be like for him to get called up in a race and tries to over do everything and doesn't get the same results. Let's not forget he just starting to play the outfield and I guess he's using to playing in a smaller outfield. not to mention the failure rate of players we acquire/call up that either used to be good before becoming a Sox, or were projected to be good until they've gotten a large enough sample of At-Bats for us as fans to give a loud "Oops!" to the Sox scouting/development department
  6. So the trash that beat us on tuesday was 0-6, and Bruce Chen before yesterday hadn't won in two months Oh, and Ozzie saying 'The Central isn't there to be taken, these other teams will eventually start winning' Please, dont throw your money at this s***, for the love of god
  7. Yes, I think we can say Beckham for all the hoopla and acclaim the Media gave him, BUST.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) what's the Tigers payroll? The failed to score even one run against him Whatever the Tigers' payroll is, expect it to increase by the 31st
  9. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jul 6, 2011 -> 03:18 PM) No, but he's my whipping boy just like rios is many people here I dont normally pile on like most of the posters around here, but when your whipping boy has put up the numbers Alexei has this year, who's next? Konerko? lol
  10. Alexei is a groundball f***ing machine this year, somebody unplug his ass
  11. We have too many guys in our lineup that think "HR" and not "Hit". Beckham, Konerko despite his good avg, Dunn, Ramirez, Rios, Quentin, even f***ing AJ had his lift and pull streaks We need some regular f***ing LD hitters, this bases loaded 0/1 run bulls*** is getting old
  12. lol what frustrates me the most is people believing in this team, the writing is on the wall and has been all year: THEY CAN'T BEAT THE TEAMS IN THEIR DIVISION. stop thinking this team is better than they are, they aren't winning the division, the twins are gonna win 2 of 3, or sweep us after this series. don't be surprised when it happens, either
  13. still think this team is going to the playoffs?
  14. 2011 Sox: Face 0-6 pitcher: Check. Give 0-6 pitcher his first win of the season: Check. Just another day in the office.
  15. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 03:01 PM) The balk rule is also in place to prevent the deceiving of the batter. Thats part of the reason why the pitcher must come to a set position before delivering a pitch. I guess thats part of the rule i didnt realize was part of balking, i can think of one time where a guy at 3B was dumb enough to get picked off at third, and it also protects guys from getting picked off a base who arent trying to steal but just leaning towards the next base I still dont like the rule applying when a runner is on 3B or bases loaded
  16. The reason for the Balk rule is to prevent the pitcher from deceiving the runner on a base. What I never understood is why the Balk rule still applies when the bases are loaded, or when a runner is on 3B. The rule assumes the "deception" is the pitcher fooling the runner into thinking he's throwing to home. If a runner is on 3B, how would a pitcher deceive a runner at 3B if the bag being stolen IS home plate? You could argue, " Well the pitcher could throw to third and get the guy in a run down", but if he's attempting to steal home, the pitcher isn't going to have a better chance of getting the guy out by throwing to 3B, he would just finish his delivery to the plate
  17. Could anybody see Teahen getting dealt to ATL? We'd have to throw in a quality player or pick up probably 95% of Teahen's salary, we really need him off this team
  18. omfg... Pierre stays but Quentin goes? this is exactly the type of stupid bulls*** I'd expect of the Sox tbh
  19. IMO, with the fluctuation/unpredictability of the Sox across different opponents win% (Sox will struggle against low win% teams, win against high win% teams, and then float around .500 against teams with similar records), its hard for me to put any weight into the point you're trying to make. It's a valid arguement I suppose, however the Sox have proven to me that on a day to day standpoint, it doesn't matter how good or bad their opponent is...i've seen this team lose a lot of games against bad teams and then beat the crap out of a healthy Red Sox team Predicting outcomes based on opp. win% with the Sox is as unpredictable as their chances of winning
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 10:11 PM) Paul Konerko waves from his 16,000 sq ft house in Scottsdale. beat me to it. i've said before, my only real beef with walker is he doesn't seem to get our hitters prepared for pitchers they've never faced. it isn't a one or two player thing, it's our entire lineup, regardless of the new players brought in. this happens year in, year out, and has been the Sox MO since Walker got here
  21. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Jul 3, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) Is it possible that both are true -- most callers are idiots AND Rongey isn't very good? I'm thinkin' yeah. I DONT VISIT THIS SITE TO READ SUCH LOGIC
