F*** It, Part 2: Electric Boogaloo. Its just the Cubs
Real replied to Kyyle23's topic in 2011 Season in Review
This is where Crain had trouble in the game he gave up the winning run against... I can't remember who it was. There were 2 outs, and he couldn't get that last out. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:44 PM) It's foolish to not take that into consideration with any of the top performers of that era. Let me clarify: Do YOU think he was using steroids? -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:38 PM) You're all absolutely correct. Pierzynski blows and Peavy is great. Next topic.. I never said he blows, I said he's a f***ing b**** and the whole league feels the same way. And I've heard his teammates do as well (We know of one who does after seeing tonights game) AJ is a b****. I'd like to see him get into another fight where he doesn't have Scotty Pods to protect him. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) When did I make mention of Gavin Floyd, smartass? You said Peavy is garbage, 5.2, 3 ER isn't garbage. 5.0 IP, 6 ER is, which is what Gavin Floyd gave up in game 1. So if Peavy is garbage according to you, then by YOUR logic, Floyd is worse than garbage. I came up with dogs***, would you like to use a different noun? -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:32 PM) You're right. I forgot that Peavy has done anything worthy in the past 4 years. Oops. If we're comparing careers, get back to me when Gavin Floyd wins a f***ing Cy Young. Oops. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) I can't understand why AJ is taking so much heat on this board for most likely wanting Ozzie to take that piece of garbage out of the game. Piece of garbage? LOL, does that make Gavin Floyd dog s***? -

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) $6 million for 2012 says he's NOT. We need our ROI. Haha, no. I didn't say I want him released. I just said I can't wait until he's gone. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) The whole league you're referring to would love to him on their team. You can't wait until he's gone? Well, I can't wait until that waste of f***ing money Peavy is gone. I'm sorry that you think the whole league wants AJ on their team. It's not my fault you believe in things that aren't factual -

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) I think I got the Peavy/AJ thing, I rewound the half inning a bunch. When Peavy gives up that last hit, as Soriano scores you can briefly see AJ give the "get him out of here" yanking sign with his right arm and his right pointer finger extended. Then as he walks towards the mound, he's staring into the dugout just waiting, begging for the change. He basically showed Peavy up, and Peavy saw it. It started before they were both on the mound and Ozzie made the change. Can't really fault Peavy, that's not a good move by a catcher regardless of whether he should be taken out, you just don't do that. AJ is a f***ing b****, and the whole league knows it. I can't wait til he's f***ing GONE. -

AJ calls pitch. Jake shakes him off to get a different sign. Jake sees sign of pitch he wants to throw. Jake throws pitch. Pitch gets hit. Ozzie comes to mound. AJ probably says something to the effect of "That's why you don't shake me off" Jake & AJ begin to have words, following by Jake pointing at AJ as he leaves the mound. This is how I feel it happened. -

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jun 22, 2011 -> 09:17 PM) Really Jake? Going to start arguing with your teammate in the dugout like that? How about you earn your damn salary? LOL did you see what happened when Jake walked off the Mound? AJ started this s***, he ALWAYS does. How could you think otherwise? -

another sweet offensive showing by our team tonight -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 11:28 AM) How about f*** both Teahen and Pierre. Lesser of two evils was my point though, ill take Teahens better chance to drive in runs over Pierres whatever it is he supposedly does
-
lol, two pages and still nobody has offered their opinion? Teahen or Pierre in LF? I would MUCH rather have Teahen's poor defense and left handed pop in the lineup than Pierre's poor defense and NOTHING in the lineup I know Teahen's power is subjective, but put simply, he can hit homers and extra base hits, Pierre can't. Pierre can't even turn singles into doubles with SB, which makes him USELESS
-
btw, Rongey texted me back his response last night So as you can see he couldnt correlate his prior reasoning "$3,000,000=Gonna play as a starter" to my "Why isnt the $4,750,000 playing if thats your logic?"
-
I'll keep this brief as there isn't a whole lot to say. I texted in to the postgame last night after Rongey kept telling a caller that Pierre plays everyday because the Sox are trying to get some sort of return (in terms of offense, I guess) I heard this and immediately had a WTF moment How horrible is Teahen in LF compared to Pierre? I cant believe he's worse to the point that you keep a 3m investment whom is less likely to have a decent WAR on the field instead of somebody who costs you 4.75m and 5.5m next year, who can actuallt provide some pop from the left side Summary: Leadoff Ramirez or Rios, Teahen in LF, Pierre rides pine. Assuming the Sox want a "return on their investment". Or, its all bulls*** and Ozzie just loves this national league slappy grinder garbage
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) Did you notice that both his HR and that rope were on pitches waist high or higher? He's able to nail those because of the change to his hand position. Now he's able to actually get on top of that pitch rather than popping it up. Rios has been grounding out a lot lately actually
-
I think Teahen would be traded or released before Pierre, Teahen gets literally 2AB a week on this roster He's the definition of wasting space
-
QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:34 AM) Traded to the mets for Carlos Beltran. It's just dumb enough to fit our management. lol, I know what you mean, but if he gets traded I think he'd bring in a pretty good player actually the way the sox would screw up trading Dayan would be to package him with Teahen's s***ty contract devaluing the return ;(

I want to make an official poll about this Lets keep discussion civil and respect each others opinions
