  1. If Hahn gets screwed by the Padres again, he'd need to call them Daddies. So just don't screw this up Rick.
  2. Hey, we were only one Kyle Fuller INT away from being Super Bowl Champs.
  3. If 2010 had taught us anything about Steve’s predictions then Machado is signing with the White Sox ?
  4. Rollins winning was the right choice and he derseves to get back to the main event picture (heck he was main eventig as the IC champ). However the “lack huge pop” at the end was not to his fault. Fans were looking for a surprise entrant at 30th and they ended up with Nia Jax. That killed the intrigue to the math itself a bit. McIntyre and Rollins should have been the last two standing since there is ongoing storyline between them, there is nothing going on with Rollins and Braun. And also women’s RR took way too long and I suspect they have to wrap the men’s match up quick. They should have let the final two wrestle for a bit and Ron would have gotten his “huge pop” from the crowd.
  5. Anyone who’s getting the 2014 Daniel Bryan pop or is in the underdog storyline is garbage in Ron’s world.
  6. All. The. Lefities. Hitters edition Sox could start the year with an all lefities outfield - Palka, Jay, Pederson, with Delmonico on the bench. In all likely scenario Palka and Nicky would be gone, you'd need a couple of right handed bench bats to platoon with on this team.
  7. Plenty of MLB players believes they should get paid more. If Machado truly outperforms his contract value significantly then we could talk about contract restructure. For now there is no need based on how market is playing out.
  8. After the Dan Clark fallout, all “insiders” have learned to break news AND cover their bases. Bravo.
  9. We aren’t in 2016, and we have made some franchise altering moves since then. But we should ignore the last 2 years (a period in which we could see Hahn being given more power) to fit your narrative? I think we are good to end this right here.
  10. I think the word used was good, Indians duo is an elite one. Considering most playoff teams are at around 40 WAR. Having 4 players accounting for 43% of that target isn’t bad by any means.
  11. Point is Hahn has done at least a decent job during this rebuild putting together this core. But his job is on the line for this and he knows it. If majority of the top guys flop in 2 years, he’s as good as gone. That’s the worse case scenario, however I think it’s just as likely we are a playoff team in 2020. So for now all the talk of comparing Hahn to Forman is just flat out nonsense.
  12. FIFY. You need to have patience in prospect development, just as a few guys who took a hit on ranking (mostly due to injuries), a number of guys stepped forward. Fangraphs has only lowered ranking on a few of the guys, and I take their rankings with a grain of salt anyways.
  13. I high doubt it, and as SS2K5 point out, it’s a a lot easier to make playoffs in NBA. Least with the Sox, there are 4-5 elite prospects they could build their team around. In a superstar driven league, the Bulls do not have anyone who resembles one. I know you tend to have an optimistic outlook on this team, but I just don’t seem how Sox are in a worse situation (especially if we land a whale), let alone 4x worse.
  14. Yes, the package was considered underwhelming at the time, especially with them having to give away their first round pick to complete the trade, which made no sense at all.
  15. Responding to your edit. It was just this time last year we were debating whether the Sox or Braves had the best farm in MLB, ONE YEAR into rebuild! HOW SOON DID THE FANS FORGET? I know we had some injury bugs in 2018 and fans like to be impatient, but besides Fulmer, 2018 didn’t show us any of those prospects woudl be flops long term. No, not yet. And here we are now already comparing Rick Hahn to Gar Fucking Forman’s level of incompetence, give me a fucking break. And typical Parkman pooping everywhere and expecting the worst outcome of of everything. Why aren’t you posting in NFL thread how Trubisky was a bust 3 weeks into this season.
  16. See my last post in the NBA thread, I have got you covered.
  17. Jury is still out, but at least at the time of the trade, media has Hahn fleecing the other team from the big 3 trades. I couldn’t remember the last time we had consensus Gar has won a trade that actually proved out to be true after. Besides the awful trades (like the McDermott or Cam Payne one), it’s also his inability to make the necessary moves that puts Gar at another level of incompetence.
  18. Is it? Have you seen Markkanen this year? They traded away a first round pick in the process. It’s a move they had to make, but consensus at the time was they sold low on Butler. A year and a half later, that’s still looking to be the case. And besides this move, you’d be hard pressed to find anything that resembles a good move by Gar. Not only that, he has also made a bunch of terrible moves in between. Hahn has made a few great move at start of the rebuild, and recent moves has been at least meh to decent. But it’s not even close if you compare him to Gar.
  19. Only if you’re using the inferior WAR stats. Lindor/Ramirez was only 12.4 in 2017 and 15.6 in 2018. The core of Sale/Q/Eaton/Abreu was 17.3 in 2016.
  20. It’s not even close. Think of the last time last time Rick Hahn has made a good move, now think of the last the time Gar Forman has made one.
  21. I won’t defend KW, but Hahn gets an incomplete grade for now, we will see how the pieces he put together with full reign pans out in 2 years. And also in the context of KW/Hahn vs GarPax, I don’t think it’s close which is the worse dual.
  22. With the surplus value the Sale, Q, and Eaton contract had?
  23. The list literally stops after Eaton, there weren’t much else to work with, so I definitely won’t call it squandering. And how did we negotiate the Sale or Quintana contract to begin with? Oh wait...
  24. You do realize having 3 great players on a 25 man roster isn’t a whole lot to work with compared to a much smaller rosters in the NBA, and that one league has a salary cap, the other has uncapped spending.
  25. It’s a tired argument but had ping pong ball not go our way, we wouldn’t even have mustered the 2 season of upper east echelon status during the Rose era. So I’m not quite sure what success you’re referring to. To Paxson’s credit, the team has generally drafted well during his tenure, but everything else have been a disaster, from the hiring of unqualified coaches, to the fallouts with multiple coaches, toxic lockeroom relationships, training staff incompetence, poor decisions in the trade market, inability to recruit free agents, selling draft picks for capital during rebuild, reluctance to spend on international scouting, and worse of all, despite Forman’s incompetency, he has been given immunity indefinitely. At this rate, future free agents will not see Bulls for the glory from the Jordan days, but a laughing stock of a franchise where complacency and incompetence are accepted, and a front office that’s completely out of touch with the rest of the league.
