  1. Extending an incompetent coach in the mid of a 6 game losing streak and a 40 point drubbing is a dumpster fire.
  2. Both have said they’re not interested in Philly as a city, why would they hold out for Phillies as if they’re the more preferred destination? If Manny’s holding out, he’s waiting for Sox to blink and raise the offer to meet his numbers and his name would be signed on the dotted line.
  3. There are some young pieces in place that should be part of the core for next 5-6 years. It doesn’t take a lot once a few of the top prospects start playing near their full potential, especially if we land a guy like Manny, to make the playoffs. Let’s revisit this after Sox make playoffs in 2020. Maybe we will see you eat a bigger crow this time around.
  4. Show me a GM who hit on every move and I will show you a genius. Using record as an argument when we have been rebuilding for 2 years is a weak argument. No one is saying Hahn is perfect, no one truly knows how decisions were made behind closed doors. But it doesn’t take a lot to see who was in power then and now. What you should do is at least acknowledge Hahn has made some great moves during this rebuild and should get the benefit of the doubt until it’s clear this rebuild is a failure. If you still choose to jump the gun on every move because of your disapproval of Hahn, prepare to get roasted.
  5. If you refuse to believe he wasn’t truly in power until recently, then you may actually be correct Hahn is a shitty GM.
  6. No one is stalking you. But you have been one of the most skeptical and even negative posters against this regime. You already had your fire Hahn posts ready after the Dan Clark tweets, and claiming MM to Yankees was a done deal, just because they are the Yankees and we are the White Sox. Yet you were giving people hard time for falling for any pro-Sox tweets. And then there’s all the crap posts about Sox’s biggest contract being Abreu and there is no way we even have a shot in this race. Quit living in the past if you don’t want to get roasted, realize thing are changing and that this FO is giving the effort to turn the franchise around and change its perception. We’re only 2 years into the rebuild and we were off to a good start, give Hahn a chance before bringing out the ax , buddy.
  7. But wasn't Manny going to Yankees per Dan Clark, DA?
  8. All of these were friendly ball busting jabs until Bauer took it to another level. Not sure how you failed to see that. No she did not have it coming for what she tweeted, not sure how you could handle being a public figure when you could not handle a tweet of 16 YO girl on period. Bauer is some sort of stalkerish freak who accused a college chick who tweeted him 4 times of being obsessed with him, when it’s clear that it’s the other way around, him tagging her in 40 tweets.
  9. Really? That is seriously a weak jab and a weak excuse. I am pretty sure Bauer knows how twitter works by now and knows the consequences of his action (with the followers he has), yet he decided to do it anyways and act like a dick in the process.
  10. Fans tweet at celebrities and athletes all the time in a much more derisive and negative light. Bauer took it literally and personally based on her first tweet and responded. It wouldn't have been a huge deal even from there, athletes tweet back fans all the time. This escalated when Bauer persisted to battle, and sent out 30 tweets and going back to year old history of her posts to insult here (seriously you would only expect from serial stalkers or trolls, not professional athletes who get tweeted at all the time). Bauer's persistence caught the attention of his fans and they decided to jump in to mock her and blew this up. To say that she should have known better and expected this from professional athlete isn't going to cut it. What she tweet him is pretty tamed compared to what goes on at twitter these days.
  11. For those looking for jobs in the Sox organization use Manny Machado as your personal reference.
  12. I imagine now we just need Manny to sign above the line next to the X. I hope he doesn’t screw it up and signs on the line, Hahn would have to give him a new contract to sign.
  13. There so much smoke of Manny to White Sox at this point if it does happen, it would be a huge let down.
  14. Just quickly scrolling through the FA list, Tyrell Williams would be someone I would love to bring in.
  15. Again, read reports of how he was used in that offense. You are just throwing out numbers without looking at context and also the need of this team. And also really try hard to think about why we were shut down on offense in the first half. While you’re at it, also look at how this team faired in deep pass attempts and efficiencies this season. Then you could justify what the bigger need is for this team.
  16. Gabriel could beat you with his speed, but the fact that he couldn’t win jump balls with his size limits his effectiveness as a reliable deep threat.
  17. Let’s leave the rankings aside as we’re not talking about starting rotations in baseball. The Bears need a reliable deep threat to keep defense honest, it’s hard to argue against that.
  18. Not this Alshon. The Alshon from 13-15 was one of the best deep threats in the league.
  19. Yep and I mentioned above Miller deserves the benefit of the doubt. But outside of a freaking kicker, I think this is one of our biggest need (advantage of being a well rounded team), so I would look for one in FA if we have the cap space.
  20. No. They’re different type of receivers with different skill sets. Read the scouting on Robinson if you have to.
  21. Bears need a big play threat to complement Robinson, or vice versa. And if you think Robinson is in the same breath as Adams and is right after the top 4 you mentioned then you haven’t been paying attention.
  22. Let me rephrase this. Bears do not have a true vertical big play threat and which is why we couldn’t move the ball against Eagles in the first half. Robinson makes his money on route running, he has some ability as a deep threat but isn’t explosive enough to be one consistently, especially post injury, also at the same time Bears did not call a lot of deep plays for him this year, Eagles know it and it is why their defensive game plan worked earlier in the game.
  23. Are you saying that any receivers better than Robinson is a HOF? I mean first it was Rodgers comparison, now this? Seems like you have went extreme the other way.
  24. This. Robinson isn’t a true number 1 for me, maybe border line 1/2. I am not sure Miller is either but I will give him time. If we have the luxury of adding a big play receiver we should go for it and replace Gabriel (but I think he still have a year of guarantee left). Think of it this way, how many more passes could Mitch have made or how many times he wouldn’t have to scramble if Gabriel had a bigger catch radius, where Mitch could throw “mistake passes” and know that Gabriel would still go get it. Us ranking in the bottom 3rd in pass offense is also a product of the personnel we have. i don’t know our cap situation right now, but to me that’s one of our biggest needs.
