  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) Shaq has said a lot of people are soft. Remember the Andrew Bynum versus Dwight Howard fiasco? That was downright embarrassing for Shaq. Ha yea I don't agree with everything Shaq says. He a fun guy but strikes me as bitter sometimes. But as physically intimidating as Blake is, he never struck me as a tough guy. Guys like Zach Randolph, Nick Collison, Perkins, and Psycho T aren't the physical specimen that Blake is, but I would consider them to be a lot tougher than Blake.
  2. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) So apparently Blake Griffin got in a fight with an equipment staffer and broke his right hand as a result. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/14651663...equipment-staff I remember when Shaq said Blake Griffin is soft. Well, that's one way to punch someone in the face and still get called... soft.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) Rose and Noah regaining form seemed likely? Do you own a medical marijuana card? I never said they would regain full form, but they were likely to be better than last year. Seriously, who would have predicted Rose to be worse that he was last year WHEN HEALTHY? Jo went from offensive liability to complete trash on offense before he got hurt this year. Their decline is the reason why we are falling apart. I think everyone predicted them to regain their form somewhat, including the front office. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) And if If Hoiberg was the perfect fit for this roster, A. Why do we have posts defending the Gar/Pax hire saying the roster isn't filled with Hoiberg type players, and B. Why isn't the roster performing like an elite team? Show me one post before this season that says this roster does not have Hoiberg type player. We thought he'd be an offense mastermind, no one said we didn't have the right players. If Hoiberg felt like he needed a certain type of player to succeed, then he should have said something to the FO (we don't actually know if he did or not). This is as much on him as it is on GarPax. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) Nikola has gone backwards. Makes you really wonder if Thibs was bad for him. Perhaps he was better for him than the Mayor. Everything people critize coaches and managers for, Gar/Pax is just as guilty. Everyone knew Thibs was a good coach in developing young players. If you feel like GarPax firing of Thibs led to Mirotic's decline, then sure, part of the blame could fall on them. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) They have done some good things, but if the goal is the championship, they have been far too reluctant to take chances rather than play it conservately and ride the top 3 or 4 team in the East for as long as they can. This next offseason will be huge for the Bulls. Noah and Pau probably gone, and Rose a year away. The NBA is different than baseball. The money is locked in. What you can offer is hope for a title. Not many players seemingly have felt GarPax put together a roster where they were the one player from a title run. I agree, I would like to see some changes as well. I will just say that GarPax is the reason why we aren't the best team in the NBA, but they are certainly not the main reason why we are worse than last year.
  4. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 04:02 PM) So why did GarPax tell us this was a championship roster? And if they have no shot at winning...why aren't they rebuilding? That's why you play the games. On paper, they WERE a championship contender. Many people, including this board, thought Hoiberg was the coach they needed to solve their biggest problem, offense. Hoiberg was one of the most promising coaches in college basketball, he certainly was an ideal fit for this team. Furthermore, if Rose continued his development post injury, Nikola took the next step of being rising star in this league, and Noah could come anywhere near his DPOY form only TWO years ago, yea we would be on top of the East right now. Those "ifs" all looked pretty likely at the start of the season, and the fact that they didn't happen were out of GarPax's control. And for the record, many experts picked the Bulls to finish with the best record in the East during preseason. It's certainly easy for the butthurt fans to point blame on others when hindsight is 20/20. QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 10:41 PM) Skipped around the video a bit, and stopped listening after 4:47, this guy couldn't even get his facts right.
  5. Also, love me some AJ. But not sure if WWE would ever push a former TNA guy into the title picture if TNA stays in business.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 25, 2016 -> 09:14 PM) Rock has more charisma in his finger nail than the entire roster. Well new day isn't bad. If you got the whole arena to chant llama penis with you, you are pretty incredible.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:10 PM) Amazing how much Reigns got booed considering the reaction he had been getting the last month There were only 3 guys the fans wanted to win. AJ, Brock, and a guy who was cleared to return to ring but denied by WWE.
  8. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) My money is on Rollins if he is healthy in time. Perfect timing to baby face him No way he returns into for WM. I wouldn't be surprised that he doesn't come back till the summer.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) We all saw this coming so not going to complain about it but...WWE had 2 chances, 2 chances to do something interesting and out of the box. With this Rumble and the tourney at Survivor Series and they took the safe easy route. Stale. Why didn't Brock run back in and F5 Bray Wyatt and get him eliminated if you're setting them up for Mania? The Rumble had good moments. The result was bad but thought the match was solid. Jericho was just brutal and botched a bunch of moves at the end. I am not a fan of Triple H winning, but at least he was surprisingly good in the ring. He was a lot more nimble around the ropes than I expected.
  10. Waiting for HHH to come out at 30, looks like the internet is dead on.
  11. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 24, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) Probably because "his mechanics make him a TJ waiting to happen!!!". That's everyone's defense for underrating him, although it makes absolutely no sense as to why he'd be a worse pitcher. If they think that, then they are idiots. It's a ranking of best pitchers in the game, not rank the pitchers you'd take if you were starting a franchise.

  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 23, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Again, just 1 year ago two guys signed here with higher offers elsewhere. I think the whole "players don't want to come here" is overblown. Did you read my post? I mentioned the struggles that our newcomers partly played into the decisions of this current FA class, money is a huge factor of course, but the organization and its support system that they could provide to the players absolutely matters as well.
  14. I think there is definitely a notion that players don't want to play for the Sox, middle of the road team, lacking prestige as a franchise, bottom of the barrel in attendance, etc. But part of the blame is also the bombing of other FA signings, especially hitters in recent year. Had those guys, Dunn, LaRoche, and to some extent Melky, had performed better with the Sox than they did before, it would have been a more appealing case to attract other FA's.
  15. Any move to spend the "$27.5 mil" that is thought to be available is a mistake at this point. Any offensive players that remains out there are 4th or 5th options, and won't get much ROI for the money. Need to think outside the box and trade for someone who's considered a reclamation project.
  16. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jan 22, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) Does Austin Jackson cost a pick? Was traded mid season, so no.
  17. I'd like to get in on this too but would like that lucky 27 spot. Yo Kyle, you wanna swap that 27th for my two slots?
  18. If Rose gets hurt this time, at least you could blame Aaron Brooks for it.
  19. Lethargic offense after Rose goes out. Too many jump shots and one and done's. Need to get to the basket.
  20. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 06:45 PM) If we get Cespedes we have to deal Avi or Melky. I'm not a big fan of the Melk-ster. Trade him. Have outfield of Cespedes, Eaton and Avi and get a middle reliever for Melky?? We probably could use Cespedes' presence in the lineup. It will be alot easier to trade Avi for a middle reliever.
