QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:42 PM) Well, at least we didn't lose to LeBron as much we lost to the Cavs role players. The Bulls on paper were the deeper team but goddam they destroyed the Bulls, outplayed and outhustled them. LeBron had an off series, shot miserably and turned it over a ton, KI was for the most part a cripple, no KLove a JR Smith out two games and still they got humiliated. Way to show up for Thibs. They have to fire Thibs, Bulls have zero excuses for not beating Cleveland. He can take Hinrich with him wherever he ends up. Not too late to change your prediction of Bulls beating Cavs in the ECF isn't it lol. As you point out, we didn't face Love and a fully healthy Kyrie. I wish I was wrong on picking Cavs over Bulls in the preseason AND mid season, but man the past 3 games have been hard to watch, and just another s***ty ending to another high anticipated season.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:37 PM) lol. don't get mad at me. And I said IF they won it this year they would be. Not that they were. Try again. Yep, winning 6 championships instead of 5 over the course of 16 years would make them the greatest dynasty ever, just like Lebron winning 3 'ships instead of 2 would make him the greatest player ever. The margin within your rankings must be reallllly tight.

QUOTE (Boogua @ May 14, 2015 -> 09:38 PM) This ended up not being the case considering how poorly Mirotic and Brooks played. If the bench and depth actually showed up this series it wouldn't have mattered that Lebron was the best player in the series. Lebron has been the best player in a few series and has lost. Same with Jordan and other all time greats. Our 2011 bench mob played like crap as well. This trend isn't a fluke. Why? Because bench players are what they are, they get exposed in the playoffs, especially when other teams are running their starters out there 40 minutes a game. Just look at how Niko was exposed for his pick and roll defense and rebounding, Taj was exposed for his inability to be a consistent scorer, and Brooks and Hinrich reverted back to nothingness.
-
Just like how he said 3 weeks ago Spurs were greatest dynasty of all time. His hyperboles are getting lazier and lazier, he isn't even trying anymore.
-
Just goes to show you AGAIN that having the best player wins the series. Bench and depth can't be your only strength in the playoffs.
-
NSS would certainly be disappointed. Didn't think his injury was career threatening, so this is a shocker.
-
Of course it was all Lebron coverage on ESPN after the game today. Heck, even after Friday's game, half of the coverage was still on Lebron and the Cavs.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 10, 2015 -> 06:03 PM) https://vine.co/v/emDVlBtrJO2 You can give the Bulls the ball game based on that.
-
I guess it's poetic justice. I thought Lebron was fouled before the ball went out of bounds but no call, then he hit the game winner on the next play. Same way the ending of Game 3 played out with Rose.
-
Game.
-
Poor Alvarez. He might need to learn a new position if he wants to move up anytime soon. Rondon/Peter and Anderson/DeMichele are firmly entrenched at higher levels.
-
I wouldn't wanna face the Wizards in the next round. That Otter Porter Jr kid seems like a matchup nightmare already.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 8, 2015 -> 09:36 PM) I would call that an exercise in madness and futility I would have said this should be the game of the year, the intensity and the finish is certainly worthy, but the lopsided, despicable officiating completely tainted the game.
-
It might be a worthwhile exercise to re-watch this game after and count how many calls Lebron got in his favor for being Lebron.
-
Wait, what happened to Pau?
-
Puke.
-
Dellavedova is their version of Hinrich, except that he can shoot.
-
I love it. All 20,000 strong in the UC wants to see their team take down Lebron.
-
That's now 3 calls in the last 2 games that Rose has lost to Lebron because Lebron is the official league poster child.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2015 -> 03:17 PM) It seems whomever I have in my avatar has been jinxed, so goodbye Chris Sale and hello... Lebron is a good start. Please add Kris Bryant and Aaron Rodgers.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 7, 2015 -> 12:57 PM) People keep saying this. Look at the average ages, and the typical development curves. He was in A+ at 22 last year, and he's likely to be in AA this year at 23. That is decidedly not old for level, even for a real prospect. This isn't a high school draftee with 4-5 years in either. He's fine age-wise and developmental curve-wise. If you are comparing him to phenoms, then sure, he's behind their curve age-wise. But they also were mostly high school types or LatAm types that were in the system in their teens. Engel isn't going to be a phenom. Compare his progress to regular starters in the majors that were college draftees. He's where he should be. If he is in AA this year at 23 as I think he will be (and likely pretty soon, as other than May and Hawkins there are no other real outfield prospects in BHAM, then on that track he'd likely be in AAA at 24. His bat was also considered raw coming out of college, and he still struggles a bit with strikeouts at times. I would rather have him take as much time as he needs to work on his swing and not throw him into the wolves, as we mentioned over and over again, the A+ to AA jump is far too significant.
-
If Rondon can hit .260 for the year, I would be happy.

The fact that Sale has a higher ERA than Simon ticks me off a little. I hope that changes by the end of tonight. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 5, 2015 -> 04:05 PM) Plus in 2011 Kyle Korver forgot how to "shoot" for > a week. That same Kyle Korver who became a first time All Star at age 34. Who would have imagined?

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 5, 2015 -> 04:09 PM) The way we shot in game 1 isn't sustainable whatsoever. I think that's my biggest worry at the moment. Cavs just don't have the talents defensively. Also, I think last night the Bulls were just taking what the Cavs gave them, and they were wide open in many of their jump shots. If Cavs adjust, expect the Bulls take to the hoop more and drawing more fouls, something that didn't happen last night.
