I think Hawk is just trying to be hip. He is trying to appeal to a younger crowd. Personally it doesn't bother me either way, but they both sound good. Especially when he says "Gas, He Gone"

actually, if we still had kip wells, and josh fogg, no way would we have loaiza now. So you're saying we are still hurting from it from not having those 2, but I think we are actually in a better situation. Loaiza will give you about as many wins as those 2 combined, just a couple less. Plus you get one other pitcher in the rotation.

The reason Valentin gets away with bad fielding sometimes and Jimenez didnt was valentin got his by trying hard, and generally getting to a ball that Jimenez would never have been able to get to. Jimenez got his bad fielding by mental lapses. I can take an error if the player is trying. Not if he is lazy in doing so. And I never knew what Klesko had said about Jimenez until after I had noticed he was lazy. And then I agreed with him. Until he keeps his head in the game for 162 game a year, I dont know if he will stick with any team for that whole year. And I'm glad that it wont be on this team. He lost his job to Vasquez, and he wasn't even playing that well to begin with, but there was obviously something that made the Padres rather play him than Jimenez.

Don't worry, I'm a guy, and I never got a razor for my 18th b-day. Must be somethign they are just starting.

i was excited when we got Loaiza, but apparently I am one of the few who actually knew who he was. I also think Kenny should keep his job, he makes gutsy trades. Thats what it takes to win. And we all know, trades don't always work. I will always back his trade for David Wells, I was excited when he made that trade. He also got Glover for Snyder. Olivo, Marte, Colon, Alomar, and Everett. Sure the Koch thing blew up, as did the wells and ritchie thing. But I don't know if any of the guys we traded to the Pirates would be on the team anyway. Except maybe Wells, and I remember a whole bunch of Sox fans who couldn't wait for him to be gone. The Clayton trade was bad only because we kept playing him. Myette has amounted to nothing. And I for one am glad to see D'angelo gone. And I said the same thing when Singleton was traded. Sure he has made a couple bad trades, but who hasn't?

I actually saw him do that on the show. I have to admit, it was pretty good. I'd say top 2 from what I've seen of that show.

Make sure to boo Sciosia and Giambi and Varitek
pearso66 replied to sox-r-us's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I won't boo Sciosia, giambi, or varitek, It's an allstar game, who cares. Yes Frank shoudl have been in, but it didn't happen, I'm over it already I will never EVER boo the White Sox. That's showing some support of our team. There are some people that will boo a guy, then if he does good they cheer. Pick a side and stay. I always support the Sox. -
Thomas SHOULD be at 1st base for every game the rest of the season, except for 1. he gets injured 2. the OCCASIONAL day off, maybe 1 day every couple weeks, not 3 days rest a week.

I know what will give this team a spark, STOP TINKERING!!!!! yes and that means, NO callups I will never quit on this team until they are mathematically eliminated, then I will watch them tear up the final week, and then watch the Bears.

I used to call him Colon Blow, after the commercial for cereal with the same name on Saturday Night Live.

A couple of years ago Kordell was being talked about as an MVP, I think it was the year they went deep into the playoffs. But I think it was a fluke season.

I don't mind Illinois, I have a lot of friends that go there actually. But I did luck out in the case, that the campus sucks. I went down tehre my senior year of HS to see a football game, and from what i saw, it was mainly buildings and roads. MSU campus is very nice. Tons of trees, little farm area, 2 golf courses on campus. Can't complain. I never knew Mateen was thinking about UM. I always thought that he was another guy out of Flint that wanted to keep that tradition goin, you know, the Flint Stones. But I didnt know much about their athletic program until I started goin there, which was the year after we won it all, so mateen and Mo Pete were gone. Oh and Koch This, are you a fan of Kordell? if so, I hope he doesn't suck up the joint this year. I was pissed when the Bears signed him. I'm just hopeful that he returns to his MVP calaber days.

I don't know, WSI had like 500 people on at the same time the other day. But that could just be people on. I know I go there many times without posting, just read what has been posted since I'd last been there.

There's nothing wrong with being feisty when the time is called for it. She know's what she's talking about, so she has every right to be.

Glad to be here. Actually so far I find this sites off topic threads to be more interesting than WSI's. But it's also nice to see names of people I enjoyed talking to over at WSI here. And HSC, I completely agree, you can't give up sources. How are people going to trust you if you give up that they spilled to you, about whats happening.

I actually am from IL, and ended up at MSU because I wanted to go to a Big 10 school, and didn't get accepted to Illinois, And I don't like Wisconsin, or UM at the time. Yeah, I know that record was both teams involved, but it made it better since it was in East Lansing. It was a great played game. About that clock call, I hear everyone from UM complain about that, but the fact remains, they should never have gotten there in the first place. UM had the face mask call, and the 12 men on the field to keep that final drive alive. Without those 2 calls, the phantom clock would never have happened. I don't think Marriuchi would have come to MSU, he is a professional coach, and wanted to stay in teh NFL. But yes it would have been nice, at least Bobby is gone, thankfully. Izzo is the real deal, unfortunately we have been unfortunate in losing players early in their career, Jason Richardson, Zach Randolph, Marcus Taylor. With them, they would have been a lock this year to win the NCAA Tournament. And unfortunately we lost Lorbek because he signed an agent this year. Amaker is a good coach, its just unfortunate about what happened with the paying of players in the 90's that they won't be able to compete. I still feel they will get a big penalty handed down, its only a matter of time. Go Spartans.

I just have to put my 2 cents in as I go to Michigan State. Spartan Stadium is quite a nice stadium, and we hold the record for the most fans ever at a Hockey game, I happened to be there. I was also at the last game that UM was at MSU for football, with Duckett's last second winning catch. I didn't get season tickets this year though, so I won't be goin to the game again. Oh well. GO SPARTANS

I am actually heading to Dallas this friday. My g/f's parents own an ice rink in Ft. Worth. So I'm going down there. I fly ATA down there, its cheapest, and I have never had a problem. Southwest is also great, have yet to have a problem there too. The worst I ever flew was TWA, which nicely translates into The Worst Airlines. Trying to get to St. Louis twice they delayed us for hours, and never told us why. I got lucky the first time and they transferred me to American without an extra charge.

No? I think he's pretty high up there with posts. I'll have to check to make sure, but I believe in their words, he is a "church elder" edit: he has nearly 2300 posts. He seems to have been posting a lot lately.

First of all, Showtime, who is that in your sig, if you don mind me asking. 2nd of all, CWsox, Go Spartans

on the Fox IQ show, they said that 90-110 would be considered average. But with the scores they showed at the end, it did seem that around 112-115 should be average, but of course not everyone in the country took the test.
-
Id have to agree, JM should be gone if we don't make the playoffs. I would like to see Kenny stay around awhile to see his gutsyness on trades again. As I've stated, I only have a beef with a couple of his trades. But most were great on paper.
-
It actually seems that a lot of the people I enjoyed talking to over on WSI are over here now, which is nice. The only guy you guys would know, that I don't like around 60% of the time is Kermit. He gets on my nerves quite often, but does sometimes have intelligent things to say.
-
this would definitally be frowned upon over there. They would probably leave it up, but it would get a lot of, "this thread sucks' and stuff like that.

I don't think we are a 3 and out team. We may lose in the first round right now, but with Colon and Buerhle starting the first 2, you'd think that we'd HAVE to win one of them.
