With pitching being at an all-time premium right now it will be tough for KW to make a deal that makes sense. The price on middle of the road pitchers has skyrocketed because of the demand. we need to make a move only if it makes sense. If there is any question about it, don't pull the trigger. the team is in place and another arm would be nice but not necessary.

MO didn't do a dam thing wrong last night by stealing 2nd in the 7th. At the time it was only 9 to 4 and in this day and age 5 runs with three at bats remaing for the other team doesn't mean jack. Secondly, they were holding him on, I can see if they weren't holding him on and he just took it but he was being held. He had to actually get a good jump to take it. Finally, Pena would have done the same dam thing so I don't want to hear any of his bulls***. :fyou Pena Just kepp kicking their ass!!!!

MB was pissed after the 3rd because the runs were scored on infield hits. the fact that the offence came back with a 3 spot settled MB back down and allowed him to finish strong. If we don't put up that 3 spot, MB comes out for the 4th still pissed and who knows what would have happened. Keep it going. This is AWSOME!!!

We are in the midst of one hell of a divisional race and you want to talk about 2004? Before tomorrow, we may already have another starter for next year. I hate to say it but this sounds like a north side thread. In a race and talking about next year.

I think it is a great trade. We didn't give up anything and got another solid lefty for the pen that can go more than one or two hitters and can pitch to both rightys and leftys. Also, He was part of a world series winner last year and I will take that experience in a player when that is your goal. Glover was OK but the one stat htat is awful is last he is last in the league in runners inherited scoring. 50% of the runners on base when he came in ended up scoring. that is not good. This trade can only help. I am anxious to see what else KW has in mind.

The next 12 games: 6 w/KC 3 w/Seattle 3 w/Oak These 12 games will tell us if this team is a contender or a pretender. I think we need to win 8 of these games to show we are for real. Even if we don't we could still win the division because it is weak but winning a series in Seattle would be huge especially since they have owned us. Same with Oakland. Doing that would also show the rest of the baseball world that the Sox are for real and maybe they will stop getting treated like un wanted step-children in this town.

My most cherished piece would be my Black Worth Frank Thomas edition bat that is signed by the Big Hurt himself. He is my 2nd all time favorite player as he is my generation's superstar on my favorite team. I was 13 we broke into the bigs so I grew up watching the big man. A close second is My Carlton fisk BB card collection I have around 70 different cards of his including his rookie card. He is my all time favorite player.

He is in the Pen every game and he knows what the guys are talking and thinking. He makes alot of good points and I think he is speaking for a lot of the players. It is rediculous to juggle a line up so much. Those are the types of things that the Detroits and Tampa Bays do. If you are supposed to be a contender, pick a line up, and contend!

If ever we needed a pithcer to throw a complete game it is tonite. Marte and Gordon can't go again tonite and White is iffy. Those guys need a day off. Especially with Porzio throwing tomorrow. We will need the pen tomorrow. We need it at full strength going in to the Royals series. We need 3 solid starts with the starter going at least 7 this weekend.

The sox have to really enter this series with the Rays and approach as if playing a rival. They have to keep their intensity. The Rays have been putting up solid #s against good teams lately because they catch them sleeping. They have to keep in mind what happened down there. Worry about KC on Monday.

Don't for get we also have 19 one run loses. So it is pretty much 50/50 as far as that goes.
