  1. Yes and no. Guys are not allowed to carry in a bag but women are allowed one bag because they carry purses. When my wife and I go we bring a back pack and have her carry it and they usually consider it their purse. They will check it out pretty throughly and I am not sure for the all-star game if they will allow any at all.
  2. Posted on Jul 14 2003, 08:34 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- if rowand can hit his way into a starting job.... oh man... the places we would go I agree with this 100%. Aaron Rowand need sto be in the line up everyday. He plays solid D and if given a chance, will be great a the plate. I don't know what else he has to do to earn the job. I hope they figuer something out for him before he gets pissed and wants to leave.
  3. Well deserving as he should be at least 13-2 if he ever got any run support.
  4. Sorry Boss. already in too many other leagues. Maybe next year. I will have a hard enough time trying to keep track of all my teams as it is.
  5. It takes a different mind set to close and you have to be confident in your best pitch all the time because as a closer you have to rely on that one pitch more times then not. Koch is not at all confident that he can get guys out with his fastball right now (velocity not there ) so he is resorting to his breaking stuff. That is fine when he has his fast ball working but wheb it is not he is walking guys that are just not swinging at the breaking stuff and then sitting dead red on the fastball. That is his problem right now.
  6. I hope they get some pen help. especially now that wunsch was shut down from throwing again. Either way we need to win most of our games here in july as the schedule is basically all AL West in August and Boston, MYY, KC & MIN in Sept. Not looking too good for us if we can't even get past TB & DET!
  7. The only way Maggs goes anywhere during the season is if the Sox are still 5 to 7 back and under .500 come the deadline. Then, and only then would KW move him to a contender. We would get a ton of top prospects in return and he is due 14 Mil. next year and not willing to renegociate his deal to help the team. His #s this year are not worth 14 Mil. Remember, it is JR, anything can happen!
  8. something supposedly that big would have espn.com/insider. Nothing gets by Peter gammons and nothing was ever eported there. I am sure calls were made but you all know how KW is with blockbuster deals.
  9. If that happens I will will personally drive to Milwaukee and jam the Sausage from the sausage race up Bud's ASS!!!!!
  10. Well, We couldn't have thought we would make it through the season w/out one of our best pitchers going down. Seems to be a trend w/the Sox. We need to really make a couple of moves now to get the pen to championship caliber.
  11. Exactly! And if sweeny doesn't play, I don't think there is any other choice for the replacement.
  12. I also feel with the addition of Alomar it will make Valentin that much better defensively as there won't be so much pressure on him. He is no longer the veteran trying to lead the young infield, he will feed off of Robbie. They can be grewat together, If they would only be out there every game. No reaso nwhy not. We need Valentin in the lineup everyday as he is the emotional leader for this team.
  13. I know he said something stupid like he is a grown man and he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want but I think I heard his Dad or someone is really sick and he wanted to spend the time off with him. Understandable, if that is the case you can't blame him.
  14. I agree. The sunset clause would be a great idea. As much as I don't like the guy, Clemens should get to be there as di Ripken, Gwynn, etc....... Then again they were voted in by their fans and Yankee fans must not care because Clemens didn't get in and Giambi is in last in the 32nd man voting. HMMMM!
  15. I konow this team does alot to make us all doubt but I really do feel like there is something here this year. I may be proven wrong but I still think it will all come together. The Twins pbviously don't want it. I think the biggest problem lies with Manuel playing with the dam lineup everyday. Pick one and leave it for a week. He worries way too much about match ups and not who is performing. 1B-thomas 2B-Alomar 3B-Crede SS-Valentin LF-Lee CF-Rowand RF-Maggs C-Alomar/Olivo(Alomar can't play everyday) DH-Everett. Do this and leave it alone and see what happens.
  16. Here you go. I was wonder the same thing too. Rookie Leaguer 0 A Ball 30 AA Ball 100 AAA Ball 200 September Call Up 250 Starter 500 All Star 1000 MVP 1500 Hall Of Famer 2000 Legend 5000 Lets make them quality posts. We don't need to sound like Cub fans.
  17. We need to keep going! vote, vote, vote!!! Work can suffer for one day!

    Olivo

Not a completely bad idea but his defense has kept us in games at time. I am sure we would lose some defensively because Sandy can only really go twice a week and who is to say the other guys would hit. It is a tough call.
  19. Have we seen him before? If not we can probably expect to lose this one too, huh. I am tired of this kind of crap and excuse that we have never faced him. Championship teams don't have this problem. Also PK has the worst BA in the majors in the last 162 games.
  20. It should never have come down to that against the Tigers.
  21. It will always be Comiskey Park.
  22. Melton is not on the radio. He does the Pre and Post game on FSN. He is great. There would be just incredible baseball talk in that booth. The radio guys are set for the Sox. John Rooney and Ed Farmer are great together.
  23. OK, That hit goes through, He is still 1 for 4 with 2 Ks. that is only .250. not .375 like when playing 1st.
  24. I swear he thinks he is managing a little league team and everyone needs to play atleast 2 innings a game. Pick a f***ing lineup already. Let them get some momentum!
