We are either going to sign another SP or trade for one. I don’t understand why some people think we are just going to stay pat for the rest of the offseason.
I agree with James on this. The Sox need to change their strategy on the type of players they draft. They draft too many college players that are older.
Meh ok. To each their own. I prefer Q because he’s been more reliable and consistent. Q was injured last year but he’s pitched more innings the past couple years than Richards.
The Sox don’t need another top of the rotation SP. Their rotation right now is Giolito, Lynn, Kuechel, and Cease. That leaves a reliable #4 or #5 starter to fill out the rotation. They can find that in free agency without having to trade assets.
I’m expecting either Richards or Quintana. I don’t think trading Madrigal and Heuer for a SP is a good idea unless it’s a type of deal that blows you away.
He would’ve been a good addition because it sounds like he is healthy and really impressed in his showcase. However he really wanted to stay out East. This makes sense for him.
