If we sign Rosario, Robert is going to be running all over the place.
-
Gotcha. I still think he would be a good fit for this team as well as Joc but if we don’t land Springer.
-
If we don’t get Joc than I would try to make a trade for this. I don’t see why people are comparing him to Adam Dunn.
-
Dahl is injury prone though. We don’t need another outfielder that gets injured. Joc. He’s good defensively and also would rake at the Rate.

It’s a joke man. Fake account.

Worse than this? Lol ?

This thread is a dumpster fire right now. I think it’s time to close it. Lol

We’re going to sign some players. The roster is at 38 players right now and they can still make a trade as well. Relax!

Yeah George Springer and Joc Pederson share the same agent and you know what, Tiger Woods’ agent works at the same company as well. Lol ? In other words, agents will do what’s best for their clients so they get the most money.

Yes, it’s quite possible that the Blue Jays or the Mets are at 4/97 or 4/98 million so if we did that, it would be pretty creative and beat both of those offers. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

Well the next tier of players are good options so I’m not really against it.

Yes but do you believe what the media throws out there all the time? Lol

Well if you believe Portillos he said, 4/94 million but who knows if that’s legit.

If you go back and read the tweet again, he doesn’t mention anything about us not being in with the top guys, only that the Sox aren’t offering in that price range.

If that’s the case than Springer will get less than 100mil? He’s not worth the 200mil range. That would be considered an overpay and if there are teams closely offering that much for him than the Sox would be smart to pivot away from him.

Springer already has an offer from us right? So they go to another team like the Blue Jays or the Mets and his agent asks can you beat this. The other teams have the numbers we offered so they spout it to the media but in reality their assumption may be totally way off because we can still Go out and spend without directly telling them. Like James said the other day, don’t take seriously public reports. It could be smoke/posturing from the agent because they have multiple clients they are working with at the same time, etc. to try to get deals done or it’s something else. Really it’s all a game.

Well some people just get so hyped up when there is a confident front office and when there is a big name that comes up as a possibility, however when we don’t sign them, they get let down to an extreme whereas it should be, let’s just wait until the end of the offseason to see what they do first before jumping off the cliff.

Ahh ok. Makes sense now.
-
You said that the Sox are ready to win in 2022 and 2023 but I feel like they are ready to win now. It’s like the fans are soo trained to believe that they are still in the rebuilding years but we have a good playoff team now.

Is Dylan Covey back with the organization?
-
How about Brantley? He knows the AL Central well.
-
Vaughn is going to be the DH.
-
Yeah I thought he had mentioned that but I forgot. I agree with this. That should be a priority. What would you think if it was a switch hitting RF?
