  1. Kluber would be interesting. He is obviously familiar with the AL Central. I can see the Sox signing him and possibly someone for the backend. For RF, maybe just someone who can platoon with Engel. I would be down for that.
  2. I deleted my response because you answered my first question. So who do you think they will sign as the other half of the platoon with Engel? Joc Pederson?
  3. So your thinking Bauer and than go with a Leury/Engel platoon?
  4. How about if we sign Springer and Quintana or Paxton as FA’s and than trade for Lynn?
  5. I would be down for this if we make a trade for a quality SP. However, these projections seem off.
  6. I think we need some actual White Sox news. It’s getting boring.
  7. We aren’t trading Eloy or Vaughn or any of our controlled pieces for Yelich and Hader. The Brewers would ask for way more to offset the value of both of those guys and that’s not worth it. Realistically, I would like to see them spend the money in free agency or through a trade for maybe Lance Lynn or someone comparable.
  8. There must be some trolls on this board because some of the trade ideas are not realistic.
  9. We have to sign a quality starter and a RF if we want to get to the next level. Some of these names that are being thrown around as possible targets are downright gross. Like from the article below. https://www.google.com/amp/s/southsideshowdown.com/2020/11/02/chicago-white-sox-bring-martin-perez-pitching-staff/amp/
  10. Your right sorry it’s from Ken Davidoff. He must not like the Sox. Btw he didn’t include Joc Pederson in his predictions.
  11. So Joel Sherman first writes an article about the Sox expected to be a little bolder financially than most this offseason but than he goes on to write his predictions for the offseason and says the Sox are only going to sign Odorizzi. Contradictory reports if you ask me.
  12. I’m not moaning and groaning about it though or saying that any of the free agents will not come here because of TLR.
  13. I think some people are so hung up from the hiring of TLR that they are not rationalizing. People it’s been 3 days since he’s been named the new manager, just accept it that he’s our new manager. I wanted Hinch as much as anyone did and if he didn’t get the job I was hoping someone else would but after watching the presser for Hinch, it sounded like he was more interested in the Detroit job and we weren’t interested anyways so let’s move on.
  14. I had deleted the post but I will respond anyways. All of them have until November 11th to accept or not which is next Wednesday so it doesn’t really matter that Cohen isn’t in charge for a few more weeks. There is a deadline on when they need to accept or reject.
  15. I wonder if we will try to trade for Lance Lynn since we missed out on him during the trade deadline. He played for La Russa and the Cardinals in 2011 but was injured for most of the season.
  16. JR is really interfering with the progress of this team. The only way this is going to change is if he sells the team. Nothing is going to change until than.
  17. I think Hahn and the players wanted AJ Hinch but JR had other plans and interfered with the process. The coaching staff is so important now.
  18. Apparently some of the players have already reached out to the Athletic. Doesn’t say who or what was said but it sounds like there will be some skepticism to overcome. https://twitter.com/JamesFox917/status/1322034811641487360?s=20
  19. Even if they spend a bit in free agency, it’s going to be a challenge for him in the beginning because their lineup is inexperienced. It will take them a couple years to be contenders again.
