  1. I know that most of you guys don’t trust what Not Steve Cishek throws out there anymore but thought I would share.
  2. You can make the argument that this honor was awarded to him maybe one year early because this offseason is very important but you have to look at the overall body of work. He took a sub 500 team over a span of a few years and turned it into a playoff team. He deserves it! Congrats Rick!
  3. No worries! I figured it out. It’s definitely spot on. It sounds like he may already know who they are hiring.
  4. I agree. I feel that this is what’s happening too. Until I see all the national guys comment on this that we are interviewing La Russa and it’s his job to lose than I think this all chatter from our PR department. I haven’t seen any rumblings or tweets from the national guys on this. Only from good ole Bob.
  5. Pretty slow day so far. No tweets or rumblings. I’m surprised that good Ole Bob doesn’t have anything to add. Maybe a sign things are calming down a bit.
  6. It could be worse. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.blessyouboys.com/platform/amp/2020/10/14/21515266/detroit-tigers-george-lombard-manager-interview-los-angeles-dodgers-candidates-al-avila
  7. JR just needs to stay out of it and let his Front Office make the decisions like he did with the Bulls hire but when there is a friend involved and it’s his organization, he steps in and thinks it’s best for the organization to hire his friend instead of the best candidate for the job. I have a feeling Hahn wants his own guy for the job but he has no choice to please the boss upstairs and KW is kind of just stuck in the middle of it. The only way this is going to change is when JR steps down and new ownership comes in.
  8. He’s in house. They are looking for someone outside the organization.
  9. Hopefully JR stays out of it like he did with the Bulls hire and let’s Hahn make the final decision.
  10. This is getting interesting. All the AJ Hinch talk has seemed to quiet down as well....
  11. I disagree because the Sox can interview anybody they want while they are waiting for other candidates to become available and say for example there intentions all along were to hire Hinch, they can intentionally drag this out longer to announce Hinch as the manager after the World Series since he can’t be hired until after the playoffs are done anyways. In their mindset, hopefully by that time the negativity surrounding him will be limited or none. It’s a clever tactic or game that is used if there’s a lot of negativity on the internet or in the media so we should be prepared to see this thing going on for another two weeks or more. It’s actually great publicity for La Russa as well because it’s been put out there that he interviewed for the most attractive job in MLB no matter what comes of it and other teams may come calling for his services.
  12. It’s getting more and more comical...I love it. ?
  13. I can’t imagine the Sox just interviewing TLR and that’s it. Even Hahn mentioned that there’s going to be a list of candidates and some of them may already be coaching or managing in the playoffs currently so we may have to wait. I just don’t buy all these rumors that TLR is the number one candidate.
  14. https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/10/14/tony-la-russas-possible-return-to-white-sox-gains-traction/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  15. I don’t see how he can be their number one candidate. I respect La Russa and everything he has accomplished but is he the right fit for this team? No, I don’t think so. I’m thinking the Sox intentionally put this out there to divert the attention from the AJ Hinch stuff or a courtesy interview.
  16. Do you want the Sox to interview Bobby Cox as well?
