  1. I agree with you that he had the scoop before anyone else but his article is still technically an opinion piece though. Do you agree? ?
  2. Bob Knightengale is going to be on 670 the score at 12:40pm. Can I guess, he is going to advertise or fluff this even more...?
  3. The previous article that said opinion and still says opinion (key word) is attached to the new tweet. La Russa is not coming here....This is fluff.
  4. No hahaha! AJ Hinch, Sandy Alomar JR., Matt Quatraro, and maybe someone like Joe Espada. The last three haven’t managed or coached a team to a WS title but they have postseason experience so I would still approve. That may change though if either TB or Houston wins this year. Huge pass on Cora because he was the one along with Beltran that developed the whole Astros cheating scheme. Not to say what Hinch did was correct. He was still responsible for everything going on in that clubhouse but I feel he should be given another chance to manage a team. I don’t think they should go backwards, only forwards especially in today’s baseball world with analytics, etc. The only manager that I would approve if they went for older is Terry Francona but that’s a really big if with his health.
  5. Someone that can handle the pitching staff in big moments is crucial. RR’s bonehead decisions down the stretch especially in the Cleveland series really pissed me off.
  6. Well you are correct, that does sound a little silly. However, my preference would be someone that has lead a team to a championship but postseason experience is a huge plus for me. We shall see. ?
  7. Sorry, can you please explain? I don’t know if your for the post or against it? What I meant by it, is why would they hire someone who hasn’t lead a stacked team the past few years to a WS title and think he would lead the Sox to a WS title when we just fired someone who couldn’t lead them to a championship. I don’t know maybe I’m misunderstanding your response. ?
  8. DR kind of reminds me of RR except DR has a better winning percentage and more experience in the postseason obviously. I still wouldn’t hire him though because the past few years he hasn’t won a WS title with the stacked teams he has had. So what makes you think he will win a WS title with the Sox? Doesn’t make sense to fire RR and replace him with someone who hasn’t won a WS title. Pass.
  9. It could be that or they are hiring someone else too. The first candidates named are sometimes the ones that aren’t hired. We shall see.
  10. I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t Hinch either. We shall find out. ?
  11. This is all part of the process. We know how the Bulls hiring of Donovan came to be. Under the radar. ?
  12. Seems like smoke. This time tweeting that Larussa is the #1 candidate. Lol
  13. Well Cora was the mastermind/architect behind it but the players were the ones that performed the acts.
  14. I honestly think it’s going to come down to the interview process. I would have to imagine there’s going to be some questions about the game below.
  15. Mike Fiers was the whistleblower in the cheating scandal with the Astros. We faced Mike Fiers in the elimination game. Now AJ Hinch is a candidate for the Sox managerial position. Lmao ?
  16. Enough of the experiments. Time for an experienced manager that will know how to manage the pitching staff and that will help the team win championships.
  17. Maybe he needs some time to collect his thoughts and doesn’t want to talk to anybody right now. Nothing personal.
  18. I’m not really interested in any of the managers or bench coaches that are currently coaching in the playoffs other than maybe Kevin Cash, Matt Quatraro, or Joe Espada. Dusty Baker is alright but he has a history of blowing playoff games, as we know with the infamous Bartman game. Dave Roberts kind of reminds me of Ricky. I feel there’s just not that many names that are currently coaching in the playoffs that stand out and that fit the criteria Rick Hahn is looking for. Kevin Cash would be awesome but would we be able to pry him away from TB. I don’t think so. Matt Quatraro or Joe Espada would be great but I just don’t see us hiring a bench coach with more experienced managers available out there.
  19. You must be pissed that they let go of Ricky, your manager.
  20. I agree. I remember I was fuming when RR was blowing the second game of the Cleveland series. I was calling for his firing. However, his questionable decisions with the bullpen in the elimination game was the tipping point for me. I just couldn’t stand his piss poor in game decisions any longer and knew at that point the team had to make a change if they wanted to reach the next level.
  21. So either the clubhouse wasn’t as close to Ricky as we thought or he lost control of the team down the stretch with his poor in game decisions.
  22. I was one of them that was for Ozzie being re-hired but after thinking about it some more and going with my gut, I think we would be better off with someone with some recent October experience. That falls in line with Hinch, Cora possibly and maybe Alomar or any of the coaches with Tampa Bay. I’m excited to see who they bring in!!!
