I think if Vaughn was hitting in EE’s place he would’ve driven those runs home. -

This team is facing some adversity right now but in reality they’ve only lost 3 of there last 4 games so it’s not as bad as it seems. There’s still 6 games left to turn this thing around. I don’t think we should concentrate on the division right now. Just take it one game at a time and things will happen the way they are suppose to. -

Does anybody know if teams can call someone up and would they still be eligible for the playoff roster? -

Your welcome! I like to stay positive! Better yet, what helps is to not watch the games until they start winning again. Sometimes you set yourself up for disappointment if they lose a couple and than when they get on a streak again. Bam! -

This board is entertaining. Guys, relax! They are one year ahead of schedule and made the playoffs already. If they blow the division, they blow the division but it’s early. There are still games left to be played to start jumping off the cliff this early. ? -
What’s up Twins fan!
-
The Twins only play the Tigers twice. The Twins have 5 games remaining and the Sox have 7 games remaining now. The Twins have an off day tomorrow and on Thursday whereas the Sox don’t have any off days for the remainder of the season.
-
NL Central is not good. They will not be going that far in the playoffs.
-
You have to wonder if that whole arbitration process got to him in the offseason and he’s just not that motivated to play for the Cubs anymore.
-
I seem to remember that. We were on a little bit of a slide and than towards the end of the season we caught fire a bit and than in the playoffs the rest is history.
-
So far the Cubs look like crap tonight and not doing us any favors.
-
Their players are like the “Bad Boys” of the MLB with their antics. Their fans are even worse I feel.
-
The Twins just won’t go away.
-
I try my best to jump in the game threads and have noticed that some of the posters are always on the ledge or the sky is falling so I do see what your saying. I feel that it’s because so many of the fans are so used to losing that they are trained to think that way like you said. Over time that should lessen if we keep winning hopefully or do you think it will never change?
-
Gotcha! Makes sense now. I thought you were really being serious about it so I misread your sarcasm.
-
Ahh gotcha!
-
We just beat the Twins 3 out of 4 and we beat the Cubs in the first series 2 out of 3 so how can you say that we can’t beat anyone with a decent record? Unless your going by our overall record versus teams above .500? Also, who knows what their record would’ve been against teams above .500 in a normal 162 game season.
-
I was looking at both schedules and I have to say you are probably correct. We have seven games to play versus the Twins five after today. However, they have an easier final stretch than us. They do play against the Reds at home though for the final series and the way the Reds played against us you never know what can happen there. Or like you said the Twins would have to realistically win out to have a chance. We’ll see what happens. That’s why the games are played. If the Cubs win tonight that will make things more difficult for them. It’s scoreboard watching time.
-
It’s going to be a fun upcoming week. Let’s see who’s more hungry to win the division. Hopefully the Sox!
-
Not happening for who? The Sox or the Twins?
-
It’s going to come down to the end for the division. Quite possibly the last series with the Cubs. The Sox had there foot on the throats of the Twins but they are letting the Twins stick around. Oh well, we’re still a young team and we will learn eventually how to put away teams when they are down. Hopefully the Cubs win tonight.

The umps this year have been really bad.
-
Now Tim Anderson is injured. What is going on?
-
The Reds have 5 runs on 1 hit and the Sox have 0 runs on 2 hits. Ok yeah....
