  1. If true that Minnesota only offered 80-85 mil per year and the Nats and Braves offered over 100 mil, why hasn’t Donaldson signed yet with either one of the teams than? He wants a contract for 4year/110 mil and he also stated he would like to return back to the Braves. Minnesota hasn’t even come close to that money wise and we still havent heard what the Nats and the Braves offers are even though many reports are saying they both over 100mil so I can see Lozano working behind the scenes and negotiating with another team for a contract around and/or at the same amount or higher than what he was looking for.
  2. Like I mentioned last night, I have a feeling that a mystery team is going to come in last minute and sign Donaldson with the way things are going. Just like Machado last year.
  3. I think Castellanos is going to re-sign with the Cubs after Bryant is traded.
  4. This is going to go on for weeks or months with Dan Lozano as his agent.
  5. I’m starting to get the feeling that the Donaldson free agency is going to drag on for months like the Machado free agency last year. A mystery team is going to come out of nowhere and sign him last minute.
  6. I don’t know how legitimate this guy is or where he is getting his sources but he is posting quite a bit on the Twins Reddit Board. It sounds like this can be the reason for the holdup with Donaldson.
  7. It makes sense. They can just dip into the minors for the last bullpen arm and add a utility player.
  8. I can’t read the full article or have a subscription to it. Can you please post the quote here? Thanks!
  9. He didn’t say they are done. It addresses there last need but that doesn’t mean they are done adding pieces. Where does it say they are done?
  10. I’m thinking the holdup is Donaldson. Once he signs, we’ll see Bryant traded and than the rest of the chips will fall.
  11. You never know with the offseason we are having but I highly doubt it. His market is starting to dwindle though.
  12. They aren’t done yet. They may sign or trade for one more reliever and sign a utility or possibly a platoon player for RF.
  13. When is the Encarnacion signing going to be officially announced? ?
  14. So far it’s been very boring today in regards to news on signings, etc. Is everyone still away for the holidays or in hibernation? ?
  15. Well I guess dangling an Allstar catcher in a trade package may generate interest from some teams. Collins is unproven but has more years of control. Either way I think one of them will be traded this offseason or before the trade deadline.
  16. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see Collins and a couple mid to low level prospects being shipped off for relief pitching. Since we signed Grandal, Abreu, Encarnacion and McCann there is really no spot to put him or give him enough AB’s. We also have Vaughn coming up sometime in the near future so we really don’t want to block him.
  17. I think Keuchel is going to end up being a better fit for the Sox long term. Wheeler would’ve been nice but we needed someone to mentor the young pitchers. Gio will help in that as well.
