Kimbrel’s is going to be traded. Every indication is leaning towards that.

A twitter account earlier mentioned look for Kimbrel to the West Coast. Don’t know how credible he is though.

I think a possible scenario is we trade Kimbrel for an outfielder and trade Sheets and someone else for a starting pitcher.

Scott Merkin is carrying water again. What else is new.

He had a good year in 2017 as well and he’s only 26 years old. He’s worth the gamble.

This is what they were asked if the potential trade would address RF in a good way and this was their answer.

Both Myers and Upton bat right handed. I bet it’s Bellinger, Lux or Yastrzemski. The Dodgers may think Jansen is gone.

Two things, if the Sox bite the bullet and eat the cash, they get a better return. Depends on what the return is though and if it makes the team better. Maybe a RF or a quality SP. However, if they just trade him to free up cash, than they will get a lesser return say a backup catcher. Than they can just use that money to go out and get a RF. I would probably just trade him to free up the cash and try to get a RF but it really all depends on what they can get back if they were to just eat the cash. They can always do a separate trade for a SP.

Are we just going to let the Royals and the Cubs outspend us? Lol

They need to trade Kimbrel and they need another SP now.

It really all falls on Hahn. With a team with World Series aspirations, he needs to be able to sign premium talent.

@Y2Jimmy0 What are your thoughts on the rotation? What do you think Keuchel will do this year? Will Cease get to the next level and will Kopech make strides? I’m worried that they really only have 3 quality arms and they need one more. Say if Giolito or Lynn gets injured than what?

Dount count me on it but watch Keuchel is going to rebound. Lol

If you think about it we really only have 3 proven starters on the team. Giolito, Lynn and Keuchel even though he was bad last year. Cease is almost there but not quite yet and Kopech is unproven.

Two things. The trade itself, and accepting his option. Now let’s see if they trade him.

That’s why I think they are still planning to trade Kimbrel unless they are building this super bullpen.

Interesting. Keuchel is a Boras client, Cease is and Rodon is.

Well Stoney did say that they will be entertaining trade offers for Kimbrel so I’m thinking trades are still a possibility but just not free agent signings. Sounds like all the top free agents have been asking for opt outs and that’s why they will not be signing any.
