Really hope the Sox hang onto Rondon. He's got some sneaky pop in that bat of his. Hit 18 HR's in the minors + 6 in 100 AB with the Sox.

Good point. Manny played for the Orioles. Hope the Sox stay away from him in this case. -

I agree. -
Delgado and Marshall are on MiLB deals and ST invites, so the options won’t be affected.

I think it could be more likely Luery is traded than Sanchez. He could have some value to a contender than needed a utility guy. Delmonico certainly seems to have no place on this team anymore, which really isn’t that much of a loss. His performance no matter how much of it was hampered by injuries last season was not much to be desired. Good thing guys like Leury, Delmonico, and Engel are easily replaceable and not important to the rebuild. -

Would you rather have Jones or Palka? Because that's ultimately who will lose the AB's with a Jones signing. Personally, I like the left-handed Palka-Power he provides the lineup. He's not a special player - very one dimensional, but batting lower in the lineup and he could end up the Sox version of Adam Duvall for a few years until a better prospect graduates and pushes him aside. And Duvall have a very productive few years before bottoming out this season. -

Well, now 2 moves need to be made to clear 40-man spots. Wonder why no announcement has been made on at least one of those? -

Is there a chance this is a ST invitee and we're all a bunch of morons? -

Certainly seems like it. He's a very meh player. I can't image there's a market for him whatsoever. -

He's probably being brought in to distract Alonso. -

I guess a Jay/Engel platoon could work: LF - Eloy CF - Engel/Jay RF - Palka Tilson is probably a goner if this happens. -

So is he friends with Harper or Manny? -
Remind me never to piss you off, hahaha.

I can’t believe we’ve reached the point where we are debated the better fit for Manny potentially cheating on his wife. He really needs to sign and get this over with. Not sure I want to be here for the conversation on which city is easier to dispose of a body in case Manny decides to kill someone.

The Sox bullpen was terrible last year. Check this out LINK. I hate using one fact to counter your point, but the Sox bullpen allowed the most inherited runners to score than any other team last year with 127. Dead last. Next closest team were ironically the Cubs at 91. Even so, that's still huge separation. Both Colome and Herrera aren't "sexy" arms and may not move the needle as much as the Sox need it too, they are far better than any other option at the moment and help solidify the backend of the pen for a young group of starters. It's a step in the right direction and allows guys like Hamilton, Burr, Burdi, Vieira, and Frare to be used properly as they get acclimated and develop at the MLB level.

Or is the Shane rumor is to believed, they are moving on. Hopefully, hahahaha

I’d offer 8/$260M, front load the 1st two years to be around or just under $40M/year, and offer enough incentives/performance kickers that bumps to total value to $300. Over the course of the deal. Get it done Hahn!

This is all true, it’s their shtick and they have every right to be that way. I do think they do need to dumb it down just a bit though if they want to be taken seriously as a Chicago sports outlet. Good luck landing any Bears interviews with rants like that. There’s certain things you should and should not record yourself saying. Be mad and upset, but be smart about it. The less you look like Chris Russo and Dan Clark the better.

Absolutely this ^^^

Plus the 40 is full and no corresponding move was made.
