Is Jacob May hurt again or has he really been regulated to Charlotte's 4th/5th OF'er? Find it odd that he would get benched for 5 consecutive games instead of one of the other fillers they have on the team.

Always found Carroll to be a feel good story and fun clubhouse character. Too bad he's a AAAA player.

Even after last night, I still think Robertson is in the upper echelon of closers. Is he overpaid? Absolutely. But it was a necessity the Sox needed at the time and it still is. If you remove last night's game and the game against KC he has elite numbers on the year. Closers make mistakes that can easily be amplified when the rest of the team is struggling.

Good read. Talk about OF overload in Charlotte. I don't think I've ever seen that many active outfielders on any professional roster before. Anyone get the feeling that his comments about trying new things from different people was aimed at Stevenson? Honestly wouldn't be surprised given how bad and slump-prone the Sox hitting has been since he's been here.

I'm almost at a loss for how bad Shields has become. This is by far the worst implosion of a ballplayer I've ever seen during my lifetime.

Myers would be interesting. Maybe the Padres would give us a break due to Shields

Latos has been toast the last month so I'm not sad to see him leave. But this does put the Sox in a little bit of a weird position regarding the 6th starter again. Beck seems to have been moved to the pen, so does that leave Renaldo as the emergency starter? I'm not overly confident Gonzalez is going to be able to last the rest of the season in the 5 spot.

Worth noting Davidson is still above the .250 mark. Doubt he'd be able to contribute anything to the Sox, but it's nice to see him at least performing now.
