  1. Thanks for the insult? Maybe you've never worked for a company that runs things half-assed backwards, or maybe you're a yes-man yourself, but do yourself a favor and look up the top reasons good employees leave companies. It's not conspiracy.
  2. You know what they say about top talent leaving? Jerry can be loyal all he wants, but the way the Sox are run forces the talented individuals to seek out better opportunities and take them. That's why you have all these company yes men in the organization - they wouldn't be employed this long for other organizations.
  3. I think they are tapped financially. It’s pretty obvious the budget Getz has to work with is non-existent. If you move Cease, that would give them $8-9M to work with, and then I thing you’re right - we might see a guy like Grichuk brought in.
  4. With all the 4A guys brought in so far, I'd bet that the starting RF is already here we just don't know it yet.
  5. Worded this way, I would totally agree with you. Guess we will find out if he has what it takes in Toronto.
  6. I'd be perfectly fine if they wanted to jump in front of the O's and get Cease.
  7. The Sox literally don't view him as a starter.
  8. A team in the Sox current position don’t need long term, high-priced relievers. When the Sox signed Graveman they were in a totally different state.
  9. Apparently Tim’s wife Bria is pregnant per her Instagram. What a weird and odd situation.
  10. Actually makes a lot of sense... They clearly zapped him brain with that pen thing. Explains a lot.
  11. I think you’re the one that needs to look up the prerequisites for how one earns a save…
  12. He might have an inside track on the closer job if Santos isn’t ready.
  13. I’d agree, but it also probably seems that way because both Nastrini and Leasure are much closer to the majors than Quero and Bush.
  14. SS and CF are the only 'premium' positions. He's not wrong. 2B is where those who can't actually play SS due to average D, lack of an arm, or their bat is too weak end up. 3B is where SS go whose body fills out too much and they lose the ability to react quick enough for SS.
  15. I think that makes him an even worse GM than many thought. He was with the Sox for how many years? And he still couldn't operate within Jerry's budget or rules or whatever you want to call it. I hate how Getz was handed the position, but I am hopeful that he at least can operate within the restrictions Jerry imposes. We really won't know for at least another year or so though because this roster is largely still the leftovers from Hahn and KW.
  16. Colas did make a post insinuating there was frustration about not being promoted, but he never threatened to quit. That was Mercedes.
  17. I personally don't see this team being 10 wins better, especially if/once Cease is moved. Throw in a few key injuries and this team will be lucky to win over 65.
  18. Even with a subpar team, only 1 bobblehead day is a little surprising. They've yet to have a legit Vaughn one.
  19. ^^^ This right here. It's why they never win anything, and likely won't win anything in the next few years. You cannot win without supplementing your roster from the outside via trade or the FA market. They will half-ass their roster like RH and KW did with the Sox in 2021-2023.
  20. Certainly building up quite the collection of cheap, bad OF in Charlotte. I think there's a good chance this is the Opening Day RF. Link
  21. Cease coming in below what was expected is a nice surprise. Even cheaper for teams looking to trade for him.
  22. Can't pull off 3-team trades in the show. Can't even fall back on that.
