Grifol: 'If you don't like the lineups, talk to Jerry.'
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I wouldn’t put it past Jerry to tell them Anderson must bat leadoff, and probably got his advice from TLR. Jerry is a Grade-A egotistical asshole that thinks he knows what he’s doing despite never actually winning anything outside of lucking into MJ and having the stars align in 2005. -
The White Sox need a total culture change
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to brijames1957's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Hard to get rid of loser mentality when it starts at the top. JR is a loser. KW is a loser. RH is most definitely a loser. -
Sounds like a great alternative to me!

Move the team? No one is asking for that… Jerry will be dead soon. Unless anyone on this board is pushing 90, it’s a waiting game for this nightmare to end.

I don’t think he ever made sense tbh. He’s a 29 yr old in the most hitter friend park in the minors. Nice to see him getting an opportunity, but no one should be surprised covering anything of value from him.

Athletic fired Fegan in Jun23, now hired with Sox Machine
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to ThirdGen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
On June 9th I was charged a full years worth for an Athletic subscription. I was able to get them to completely refund me. They claimed to understand my frustration, but didn't even really put up much of a fight and only offered me a discount to continue the rest of the year. I obviously took the refund and cancelation instead. If anyone is in the same boat, reach out and get your money back. -

I cancelled mine today as well. Fegan was the only reason I subbed. -
Hahn did such a great job acquiring depth that his only possible replacement in the minors is out for the year with TJ. Feels like we are in for quite the end of a career for Lynn this year.

Romy successful due to new light-hearted approach

Sosa. No reason to play a vet if you’ve gone full rebuild. -
Liam Hendriks' return appears imminent

He’s referring to Garrett Schoenle, not Scholtens. -
Counterpoint: Why would a player of his talent want to come play for the Sox?

Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to superchops70's topic in Pale Hose Talk
For a guy with big contract aspirations, he's in for a rude awakening. He'll be lucky to break $100M at the rate he is trending defensively and offensively. -
Jerry needs his 2 hr concession cash window...

Ken Giles to Hold Showcase for Interested Clubs
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to Bob Sacamano's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Giles would be nuts to come here. Like severely desperate. -

Nightengale: Gio won't be on 2024 White Sox
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
That contract is locked up behind Jerry's super double secret probation rules. Signed in blood. -
Nightengale: Gio won't be on 2024 White Sox
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I can totally see this being the case. I don’t think Katz makes it beyond this season regardless of what happens with Gio. Katz will be the FO’s scape goat with how horrible the pitching staff has been to start the year. -
Nightengale: Gio won't be on 2024 White Sox
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
We all knew they weren't bringing Gio the minute he went to ARB with the Sox a few years back. Petty JR always gets what he wants. -
This is very encouraging.

And what exactly do you suggest or want them to do? Did you really want them to keep Diekman the whole season? You know Peralta is 24... He very well may be a future BP arm moving forward. Why not give the kid a chance until Crochet returns? Did you really want them to keep Colas right now where he clearly looked overmatched after only spending whopping 7 games in Charlotte last year? It's pretty obvious he needs to work on some stuff if he is going to have any resemblance of a productive major league career. Is losing Romy to some phantom IL stint really gonna hurt the team? He can't hit, he can't field - I think they'll survive without Rick Hahn's prodigal son. Sosa is the only guy I would have liked to see stay up, but it's pretty obvious they are still committed for whatever reason to Alberto and Andrus. I'd rather have him get consistent AB's than sit pine on a MLB team. It's a long season. I'd put my money this isn't the last time we see some roster turnover again.

I’m assuming Yoan is going to the 60, because he needs to be added to the 40-man. Sosa was officially sent down according to the transaction page.
