I highly doubt that. Both Menechino AND LaRussa are big problems in their own right. LaRussa has easily lost this team games this year on multiple accounts with his questionable in game management. The game has leapfrogged him. Any properly run organization would have shown both these hacks the door months ago.

Howard was once a very highly thought of pitching prospect for the Phillies. I fully expect to see him shove against the Sox, especially a lineup with that bottom half of the lineup looking like it is.

Feels like one if not both of those guys are headed overseas.

I’m ok with them not gutting the system if we are simply talking rentals. If they are gonna pull off a trade like that I’d rather it be in the off-season when they aren’t trying to win the division and it’s easier to supplement your moves through FA.

I understand that, I just think there is a future with Eloy splitting time in the OF and at DH for the Sox. Robert has just as much of a history with injuries, yet nobody is clamoring to trade him away. The whole core has been a big disappointment health and performance wise.

This would definitely be an upgrade over Ruiz or Foster. I'd think he's probably got quite the demand given his season.

Yep. All the reason to not trade him like some suggest on here. He is a difference maker in this lineup.
