As much as I’d like to think Pollock has a chance at finding $5-8M on the open market, just look at last year at what some guys got. I don’t think there will be a team willing to go that length with him when his current level of production is a replaceable weak side platoon bat. He’d have to truly hate this team and/or city to walk away. And let’s be honest, even if he did, what’s six months in a place you hate in exchange for $13M. We’d all take the money if in that situation.

Being a "Hall of Famer" doesn't exempt you for life from facing repercussions from fans reactions to bad play or decision making. Being sick doesn't exempt an asshole for being seen as an asshole. Just because someone gets sick or dies doesn't automatically make them a saint. Totally possible. Sox were able to capitalize on Cleveland’s losing streak to get them back into the division race. They are definitely going to need to play the best baseball we’ve seen from them all year but they also need Cleveland to continue to hit a rough patch and play .500 to below .500 baseball.

Eloy hasn't sucked at all. He's only been hurt. He's far from the top reasons this team has sucked. When he is actually in the lineup he's been one of the few guys that looks good up there.
