It is only his 2nd start. He's literally having ST in April. I'm fine with them being cautious with him. He's been in the league 13 years, I'm sure he knows his routine by now and knows when he is ready.
I’d entertain Burger once in a while at 2B, at least he has actually worked out there and played games there in Charlotte. Just leave Vaughn be though. He’s passible in LF, and with Eloy out there’s no reason to keep pushing him around.
With how bad the Sox defense has been, I'm not sure making it worse is the right direction. I think Yolbert Sanchez might be an internal option this summer.
I could see that. I've always felt that out of that group, Callis/Pipeline tend to be a little too generous at times when grading guys. Love all the work they put out though.
Seriously. Not considered a top prospect on any publication... Not sure if there are Mercedes-like tendencies we aren't hearing about or what, because he certainly seem MLB capable right now.
He’s thinking how he can shed payroll. He’s thinking, “why can’t these players play like winners under the great Hall of Fame baseball person?”
I am terrified what this team might look like come July if they are not in the division lead and below .500 - and it starts with Giolito.
Sox will be lucky to get a middle relief arm out of him. Between what he heard about his conditioning and his inability to throw strikes consistently, I don't see how this guy makes it past Double-A. He's trending towards Alec Hansen levels of production.
