  1. Exactly. So stupid to trade what little assets you have when all you need to do is spend money.
  2. Not good. Amazing how bad that draft is looking if this ends up being worse case scenario.
  3. FanGraphs and their roster resource section.
  4. You’d have to get Oakland in love with Thompson/Dalquist/Kelley. I agree I don’t think it’s enough. Unless you can get them to go after Ramos or Rodriguez, but I would be hesitant to move either for a potential rental.
  5. I honestly would love if Ciuffo beat both Collins and Zavala out for the backup job. I don't think Zavala ended the year well with the Sox. He had a few games near the end of the year where he could stop a beach ball from getting past. I can't imagine TLR wants to have to pick between Zack and Seby.
  6. I prefer Rev and Goose to what Molson Coors offers. Was a big fan of the Sox Golden Ale at the games as a go to. Miller light is equivalent to piss water IMO.
  7. Not gonna lie, I hate this. If Rev is gone this absolutely blows.
  8. Moore was an interesting arm. Not the worst controllable depth move, but nothing to get excited about.
  9. According to FanGraphs, today. They also officially listed Raudy Read.
  10. Agree with you on Kimbrel. I don't think the Sox are moving him. We're about a week and a half away from opening day. I think if we were gonna see a big move (and this goes for all clubs) it would have happened by now. Maybe May will be busier than normal.
  11. Looks like $3M well spent... not. He keeps this up he's a DFA candidate come May. The Sox easily could have gotten this production out of Foster or Burr easy.
  12. Without adding a RF or legit 2B option I can’t give them any higher than a C. It’s been a bad offseason. Plus we have no idea what they will have to give up to get Manaea. We might hate it. He is a rental after all.
  13. With the expanded rosters, I wouldn't be surprised to see both. Plus they did say Grandal would see more time at DH this year.
  14. Isn't that essentially the same thing? I think at the very least any team giving him an opt out would want it after year 2.
  15. No one is gonna sign him for 1 yr and lose a pick.
  16. MLB pipeline has him as a top 30 guy, his FB was 94-98, and his slider is graded as a 60 pitch coming in at 88-91. He’s definitely reworked some stuff since the pandemic started.
  17. It's the same process as when a guy is DFA'd. The other team claims him, and they can try to sneak him though waivers too if they wish.
  18. Yes. You're trying to win a championship. They don't have time to stick a rookie (who is the farthest thing from a sure thing) in RF and see how he performs. We're not talking about a Robert or Madrigal or Kopeck level prospect here. Plus taking AB's away from Vaughn or Sheets for a unproven commodity is criminal. I would be surprised if someone claimed him anyways.
  19. The Sox continue to come off to me as a team that isn’t capable whenever they have to compete with other teams. They only excel when they jump the market and set it (see Grandal). We know they were taken aback pre-lockout with how quickly the market moved, and Hahn always was playing catch-up. Probably why they sign so many relievers, seems to be the only market that they get out in front of compared to other teams.
  20. Conforto can’t even get into their country. I doubt he’s an option.
  21. I was rooting for this guy the minute they signed him last year. So glad they brought him back. This is the exact type of arm that can come out of nowhere for a season or two.
