  1. What’s your general feelings to them actually being able to convert on one of the bigger RF options? I feel like we’ll see something for a SP, but I don’t have an optimistic view on the OF because of Boras.
  2. Manaea has a better track record, but Montas has the control and higher upside IMO. If we are looking for innings, I think Manaea is the better fit. And he should be cheaper to get too.
  3. Wasn't there rumored to have been a deal with him before he even made the team last year and something happened last minute?
  4. I only say that because last nights trade makes me feel like they aren’t done. I could totally see Torres moved. I think they’ve soured on him. Edit: NEVERMIND ?
  5. Totally agree. Doesn't help so many Boras guys are still out there. I can't imagine these teams want to have this market drag into ST. Unusual to see such high profile players moved while guys are just starting their workouts and getting into the swing of things.
  6. It's just Hector being Hector. Just like he did with us last year and Cruz.
  7. I actually think the Twins are worse than they were at the start of today. Sanchez and Sano in the same lineup is a K waiting to happen.
  8. I hope they believe in them. If you are trying to win, you don't worry about what guys might be, let them force their hand when it happens.
  9. Colas hasn't faced live pitching in a professional setting since 2019. There's no way he is being counted on as the RF for 2022 by the Sox. People need to stop writing him and Cespedes in as can't miss options.
  10. Velasquez is a Boras Corp guy. Let your conspiracies run wild!
  11. It's a business. They can't burn bridges or they risk not getting the good scoop, interviews, etc. If they don't do it, someone else will and they will be replaced.
  12. I love Gavin, but I don't think the Sox should be married to keeping him around if he can be used in a deal to make the team better. Historically, he is terrible against LHP. I look at him as a solid strong side platoon bat, and I think the league will figure out a few things about him. How he adjusts, we'll see, but I'm not opposed to the idea now might be the time to "sell high."
  13. Correct. Lopez is out of options. They now have to move Kimbrel to keep Lopez and Ruiz on the roster, unless Lopez is being floated as a trade chip.
  14. This seems like a replacement for a long relief role. They can't possible look at him as starter potential. Even as depth, I'd put Lopez and Lambert ahead of him.
  15. I didn't realize that, guess that isn't as terrible as I originally thought.
  16. Wow. That is a surprise. That’s quite the asking price for a 1 year rental.
