  1. I would be ok with Sonny Gray. Not sure what that deal would like like, he has a super reasonable deal so I’d expect there would be quite a few teams interested.
  2. Stroman isn’t coming here. He’s said so last year he would never play for LaRussa.
  3. I think you have to include Adolfo in this discussion as well. Assuming he isn’t moved for something, he is out of options. We’ve see in the past how that can give a guy a slight edge, plus he did hit 25 HR’s last season. I’m not expecting him to stick around, but he might actually have a little value if he looks like he can hold his own in ST.
  4. I'm probably in the minority in that I am happy the Sox stayed away from him. Soon to be 33 year old where most if not all his value is tied to his legs. He mashes RHP, but doesn't hit all that many HR's. If his legs go, the Mets will quickly regret that contract.
  5. It's the most excitement we've had in the past 48 hrs. Believe away.
  6. Cardinals non-tendered Jose Rondon. Who feels like a reunion is in order?!
  7. Followed by La Vida Baseball and Dan Szymborski too.
  8. Padres traded for Alfaro, except, now they have 4 catchers.
  9. This has been floating around FB that LaMarr Hoyt has passed away from cancer. Terrible news. RIP to a Sox legend.
  10. Even better. Curious to see the total money amount. Javy is a guy that can carry your team but he also can burry it when his bat goes cold.
  11. Tried posting the tweet, but it seems like it was recently deleted. Some guy named Paul Sanchez. He has a decent following, and is followed by Ervin Santana.
  12. Kind of surprising, but the Yankees released Chris Gittens. Edit: I guess he might be headed to Japan.
  13. I agree with everything you said, but Schwarber has a huge advantage in ISO and SLG when compared to Conforto. If you are looking for a lefty masher, Schwarber is the historical better bet. But for obvious reasons, Conforto is the better fit on this team due to his position.
  14. Good job Sox. You are really screwing this offseason up royally.
  15. He's headed to SF. Sox shit their pants this week.
  16. The alternative is putting your big boy pants and signing a big-time FA to supplement the core we sat through numerous losing seasons to build. Sox need GOOD complementary players, not more Adam Eatons of the world that have a 50/50 chance of being released.
  17. No kidding. If the Sox are depending on the likes of Martin Perez in October, just shoot me.
  18. I never expected the Sox to have a chance with him. He had West coast written all over him IMO. Just seems like the Sox way of operating the FA market is hurting them, as usual. I’m concerned we haven’t heard anything from anyone regarding their pursuits or lack thereof.
  19. Assuming the Sox lowballed someone they thought they had and missed out? Semien or Gray?
  20. For what he signed for, the Sox better have been interested.
  21. The Yankees are well over $200M, the Red Sox are about the same as where our White Sox are. https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/
