  1. Hell no to Archer. He was diagnosed with thoracic outlet sydrome.
  2. It's WAY too premature to call Burnes a better pitcher than Giolito. However, despite his small sample size, his is stuff is quite elite.
  3. Josh is a good Twitter follow, but he doesn't have sources.
  4. Almost seems too good to be true. Unless that third guy is Kelley.
  5. That would be smart, but JR isn't going to allow something like that.
  6. Agreed. Bailey has no loud tools other than being fundamentally sound, and Stiever hurt his value last season by not coming close to his reported 97+ mph.
  7. I highly doubt this is happening. That Reddit thread isn't convincing in the slightest. Madrigal also doesn't make much sense for the Brewers despite Hiura being a bad fielder. If this actual did happen, I wonder if they would get creative like the Musgrove trade and bring in a 3rd team that maybe wanted Madrigal for themselves?
  8. I think that’s it exactly. Hard to say someone is still in the top 10 when they haven’t thrown a pitch competitively for two seasons. Doesn’t mean his value or ceiling is any less, but there’s been a whole MiLB season and 2 drafts since he last pitched. Results totally push these guys up and down over potential.
  9. Going to say no. LaRussa has gotten everything he’s asked for thus far, and we know there’s a want with LaStella. I’d expect them to make a run at him and bring in another veteran starter for the 4th spot in the rotation. You’ll have 1-2 minor league pitching deals too.
  10. I feel like that’s something you do in the minors. If you’re going to do that just send him down and let him start. I’d hate to not have Crochet available for a tight spot in a must win game down the stretch because he threw 3 innings the day before because of some scheduled plan.
  11. This guy sent 62 unanswered texts and then said to himself, "I know! A dick pic will surely win this person over!" JFC the amount of weirdos on this planet never ceases to amaze me. What's amazing is the Mets might go down as the first team to ever fire their new Manager and GM in back-to-back years before a single game was played each year.
  12. Would love to know the $ involved. Hoping it's low to help bring the cost down, might help correct the market a little.
  13. He felt a lot of it prior offseasons. I'd like to think he isn't that dumb, but in the same token, most casual Sox fans do not know who Veras is or even remember the articles last February. Still a big deal to get one of the top arms in the period, but we're all die hards, and thanks to Jimmy, we all know it's been a done deal since last year.
  14. Headed into the 2020 season they had Kershaw, Buehler, Price, Urias, Gonsolin, May, Wood, Stripling, and Nelson.
  15. Some other things to think about regarding Cruz. He was paid $14.25 M from 2015-2018, $14M in 2019, and was supposed to make $12M in 2020. I can't see this guy costing or willing to take anything under $10M, as his production doesn't warrant a cheaper contract. He could break the bank for the Sox if they truly are close to their budget.
  16. I certainly understand this, I guess I'm just in the "one year too soon, then a year too late" mentality. So tired of seeing the Sox get burned at the DH the last few years.
  17. Yes, I do prefer Richards over Q. He's definitely riskier, but has more upside to me. I'm also very intrigued with what Katz might do with him to enhance the crazy spin on his pitches. Health is his only concern, but he could be a great sleeper signing.
