Dodgers @ Sox 2PM CT NBCSChicago

EE is also a notoriously slow starter. His April slash line for his career is by far the worst on a month-by-month basis. -
Sox @ Reds: Spring Training Opener (Cease)

Yep. He went to Driveline last offseason, said he felt great. Clearly didn't work last season. Although he did have a few good outings right before he hurt his hamstring last year. I don't really have any expectations for him anymore. -

I feel like he's going to bounce back in a big way this year. -
I think you nailed it. Good balance throughout.

Mazara walks in 7.4% of his plate appearances over the course of his career. Thats double Anderson's rate. -

I'm fine with starting Robert lower to start the year, but Robert/Moncada at 1-2 is what I hope we see long-term. Put Madrigal in the 9 hole, and that could be explosive when the lineup turns over.

Never thought I'd hear the words pitching lab used describing the White Sox. So great to hear they finally are messing with this data.

Aaron Bummer extended 5 years/16M (plus two options)

Sox fans gonna Sox fan I guess. Great deal for a guy who had a Britton-level sinker last year. -
I don't believe the Gomez reports. This has to be a plant by Puig's camp to try and get interest out of someone. I think Puig literally has no market right now.

Good to hear that JR is still not fully 100% committed to winning.

I didn't know where else to put this, as there isn't a minor league catch-all yet. Feel free to move this to the other board if need be. Apparently, the Sox signed RHP Christian Friedrich and RHP Connor Sadzeck to minor league deals. Sadzeck is somewhat intriguing as a possible pen option. He was a top 30 prospect for the Rangers back in 2015-16, and throws high 90's. Has issues with walks though. Friedrich seems to be more rotation depth for Charlotte. They also brought in OF Trayvon Robinson and IF L.J. Mazzilli. Robinson has major league experience as well.

I think he is too. I think it’s far more likely the Sox name is being floated out there to try to drum up more interest.

Thanks, I was too lazy to bother looking back for that bit of info.

Is Mota the same idiot that said the Sox signed Ozuna in December?

OF Prospects - Who will Rebound in 2020?
CWSpalehoseCWS replied to Chicago White Sox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I went with Adolfo. He has the most upside out of all of them IMO and it would be great to see a power bat threat emerge as depth this season to use as trade bait or act as a possible replacement for Mazara in 2021 should he fail to take the next step this season. I think Basabe has 4th OF all over him right now, he just needs to develop the ability to hit right-handed pitching. -

A shame really, both Palka and Delmonico are awesome human beings. -

I get what you're saying, but I don't think he's earned it yet. I don't see any harm in letting him start 2020 in Birmingham. He was terrible for most of last season. I know he was hurt, but I'd give him a month to build confidence and promote him after that. You currently have Palka, Delmonico, Brugman, Hernandez, and possibly Booker as your Charlotte OF right now - with probably one guy released entirely before the season starts. That's a whole roster worth of AAAA players that should be forced out when guys prove they are ready for the next step and can actually serve as depth for the MLB team. Totally my opinion, but I just don't see much from Basabe in the stat lines that says otherwise. -

Charlotte needs a CF'er. Allows Basabe to repeat at Birmingham until he proves he's ready. -
You will be able to start a franchise on release day if you choose. Which is awesome. I wouldn't go so far to say they will never be made again. The need for new, additional players is always going to be there. Regardless, I got you covered for the Sox - I always post guys to the vault individually.

This is my own guess, but I believe this has more to do with an agreement between Sony and the MiLB. So it’s probably a clause in their contracts.

Extension would definitely be nice. Whats crazy is out of out of Moncada, Abreu, Robert, and Eloy, he is the least paid. I wonder if that could be a factor to motivate him to sign an extension knowing full well he is the best player out of that list (at this point).

Posting this case anyone didn’t see this yet. I can confirm that we collaborated with San Diego Studios on the rosters. Definitely watch the live stream tomorrow for full details. If you weren’t planning on getting the game I would seriously consider changing your mind now.
