  1. Old tweet, but it seems this might be one of the NRI for the Sox this spring.
  2. It’s definitely not a black hole. At least for me, my biggest concern is Colome pitching closer to his second half stats. I’m not super trustworthy of Herrera, Fry, or Marshall. Bummer is the only guy I trust 100% right now and would like to see another solid option added to the mix.
  3. I know this account is complete bullshit, but it actually brings up a good point. If Puig's market is as bad as some seem to think it could be, I wonder if he decides to go overseas.
  4. According to Fangraphs, Mazara still has options left? Not sure if that is a possible route for them to go or not.
  5. I've never been that big on Puig. Always thought he's a fun player to watch, but he seems like an incredibly average hitter to me. After Encarnacion and Mazara, I don't see the fit for a guy who's traditionally hit RHP better his whole career.
  6. Agreed. Sox need to have guys like Dunning, Basabe, Rutherford, and Adolfo bounce back to add some value to the farm. Hopefully they do that, and then by next season we’ll probably see more trades for Major League talent.
  7. Narcissistic personality. Which also attributes to the vast majority of people on social media.
  8. With the way the Sox have operated this offseason, I'm not so sure I believe all the smoke around EE. Grandal, Mazara, Gio, and Keuchel were all relatively under-the-radar moves. Only real smoke surrounding them was either right before the deal was made or mostly educated guesses on fit or past rumors.
  9. No player is going to say “I don’t want to be here” or “I’ll stay if they pay me the most money.”
  10. Sousa would not be a terrible option, but I don’t know if he would be interested in a weak sided platoon. I’m sure he wants to rebuild his value after missing all of last season.
  11. Doesn’t hurt to add more depth to the lineup. Signing EE and letting Collins start in Charlotte is not a terrible idea. If EE is total shit, Sox can just release him same as Alonso last season.
  12. It seems like WSD knew about the Keuchel signing, tweeted about it, then quickly deleted the tweet. Everyone should not expect any news about EE until after Christmas. His father's funeral arrangements are set for Monday/Tuesday. There very well may be something agreed to, but I can't see EE having it at the top of his priorities considering the circumstances.
  13. Rodon is going to have rehab starts. They aren’t just going to activate him off the DL and throw him in the fire.
  14. I don’t see how that package is at all tempting for the Rockies. Maybe Cease, Vaughn/Madrigal, Stiever, + 1 crap throw in.
  15. I find it hard to hate this move. Someone could totally say it’s a ‘meh’ move, but it adds a SP with a very good track record to the back of the rotation. Could it turn into Santana 2.0? Absolutely, but the Sox don’t have any options to fill out the rotation, and Gio is way better than Covey. He can always be replaced by Rodon or Kopech when either of them are ready to come back. I really hope there is more additions like a Ryu/Keuchel, but this is a solid depth move that was way overdue.
  16. I’m ok with this. They could have done much, much worse. Really hope this isn’t the only move for SP.
  17. Agreed. I don’t see the Sox moving on from Anderson, or giving up the amount of talent it would take to get Lindor at a position that doesn’t need to be addressed at the moment.
