  1. I believe they said he was going to be limited like his last start.
  2. Sign me up for Lynn and Gallo if that's a realistic possibility.
  3. Usually the quieter it is, the better it ends up working out. I'd expect the Sox will do something.
  4. I heard they really want Christian Vazquez on the Red Sox.
  5. Got a feeling Dunning is the main piece being moved for any SP upgrade.
  6. I really hope if Stiever is moved, it would be for someone younger. He's a future top 100 guy. Something is really unsettling to me that he'd be moved for a pitcher as old as Lynn.
  7. I’d say to opposite. Basabe has struggled the past 3 years and doesn’t look like anything more than a 4th OF type player IMO. The guy can’t hit RHP. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have tools to be something more, but looking at his stats/splits in Birmingham, he’s expendable. He was quickly falling off the top prospect rankings across multiple sites. These types of players grow on trees. Sox probably tried to sneak him through and another team took a chance.
  8. Any reason to be more concerned? If it continues does that suggest that there could be a more serious cause for why it happened in the first place?
  9. I think we might see something happen. We've seen back-to-back-to-back-to-back HR's, a player hit 4 HR's in 4 straight AB's, 27 HR's in 7 days, and a No-No in 1 weeks time.
  10. Man, what a problem the Sox have. How do you not bring back McCann after something like this? They really are in sync out there. Congrats to Gio. Fucking awesome game.
  11. Well, not out the realm of possibility. Wasn't Cease nearly traded for Syndergaard? I don't think they will trade Cease however. More likely someone along the lines of Stiever or Lopez. Someone they already internally feel is not a rotation piece moving forward.
  12. I’m fine with this. Sox don’t have anyone capable of providing infield depth in Schaumburg. At least Yolmer comes with a proven glove.
  13. Not specifically by name. There was a hint that there could be a "surprise" call-up. We're all just speculating if that cryptic hint and our most ridiculous, yet surprisingly accurate twitter insider are referring to the same thing. If I could find the post, I'd post a link for you.
  14. This is necessarily true. He's actually having a very good 2020 season. His FB velocity is also back up and averaging 91.8 mph. To put that into perspective, last season he was around 90.3 mph. He's still a tough matchup and it certainly seems like he's re-inventing himself this year.
  15. If the Sox think he's ready though and can push them to make the playoffs? I'm not saying it's the right answer, but EE has looked horrid and the only other real option is Collins, who probably does not belong in a starting role long term. It might not be a bad idea to get him some playoff experience. Plus, look around the league at some of the guys who have made their MLB debuts so far this year: CLE - Triston McKenzie DET - Casey Mize DET - Isaac Paredes DET - Tarik Skubal KC - Kris Bubic KC - Brady Singer LA - Keibert Ruiz MIA - Sixto Sanchez NYY - Miguel Yajure PHI - Alec Bohm TEX - Leody Taveras SF - Joey Bart Most of these guys have never even been above A-ball. Vaughn coming up may not seem as crazy as it sounds. Again, I don't know if it's the right call, or even if that's what I want to see them do right now. But looking around what other teams have done, maybe it's more beneficial than him taking batting practice off Clayton Richard.
  16. Seems like whoever it was has a number in the 30's. Clayton Richard is listed with #33 on the site. If Madrigal is going to hit a HR off anyone, I totally would not be surprised if it came off him. EDIT: This is correct. Forgot he was even in that group.
  17. Read this and tell me how it's a reach: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-long-term-effects/art-20490351 Long lasting fatigue and blood vessel problems in the legs could be contributing to Moncada's legs issues. We know he had it, because he admitted to it. To completely rule out he's experiencing some minor side effects while going through the day-to-day rigors of a baseball season is narrow-minded. It's a very real possibility.
  18. I think this is it exactly. Sox just need to be cautious with him. Two off days this week should hopefully help.
