  1. That's true, so hopefully the cost is not much. Dickerson is not exactly know for his glove either. Only good glove RF out there is Calhoun, but he's old. I guess if you're going to roll the dice on someone, might as be a young guy? Robert (R) Moncada (S) Abreu (R) Grandal (S) Jimenez (R) Anderson (S) McCann/Collins (R/L) Mazara (L) Madrigal (R) That's not horrible. At least it's better than last year ?‍♂️? Sox must really be hoping for a buy-low move, or this doesn't make any sense.
  2. This would be horrible. Such a White Sox move, if ever.
  3. Same. I would not be totally opposed to getting him, but he's totally a guy who is a work-in-progress. He's still just 24 years old, so there is still room for him to break out with the bat. Kind of feels like the Avi trade all over again.
  4. Didn’t even realize he was still pitching. Is he like 40?
  5. What a joke of a tweet. This should be expected. Sox should be in on them too.
  6. Could be the Rockies as other have said. Pirates also could fill SP and RF. Pirates are also “rebuilding” in a sense they have no chance at winning that division. Prospects make more sense going back to them.
  7. It’s ironic how baseball’s “lovable losers” have evolved into a corporate machine that rubs a lot of their fans the wrong way. Bryant has every right to file that grievance. What the hell dis the Cubs think he was going to do?
  8. Adam Jones has no market because he is a shell of his former self. He's 34 year's old, can't play CF anymore, and has atrocious OBP. Sox need to do better.
  9. I'm not following this... is this connected to the Ricketts? I honestly have no clue on their business dealings. I think the major issue is that they are currently over the projected luxury tax and want to figure out a way to get under it.
  10. Going by past history, it's extremely unlikely, but maybe they will surprise us and figure out a way to get something done. It would be extremely moronic of them to not check in with his clients. It just seems like the classic guy the Sox covet because they've seen so much of him over the years. I think there is some potential, though like you said - very slim chance.
  11. I feel like Castellanos is their "guy" right now. It certainly feels like the Sox had specific players targeted and are 1/2 right now.
  12. Seems like a steep price for the Sox, how good is Dunn exactly?
  13. Guess I'll put this here. Probably a good thing it's quiet.
  14. Tajuan Walker and Alex Wood are a top my list. Jimmy Nelson also grabs my attention, though I'm not fully aware of what exactly was wrong with him injury wise.
  15. They've been crying poor since last offseason. Rumors on twitter is that they are telling FA they need to clear payroll before adding anyone. Kind of crazy just how far they are going to say they can't afford anything. Supposedly they went over 100% on the projected budget for Wrigley renovations? Almost seems ridiculous.
  16. I believe JR has made players in the past have a "tidy" appearance. I might be wrong, but didn't Kopech have to cut his hair? Same with Crede and Pierzynski? Abreu's beard was considered a little too much?
  17. Which he will immediately need to cut thanks the JR.
  18. Agreed. I feel likes it’s getting more and more likely the Sox will not end up with any big name out of FA for SP.
  19. Would be amazing to see Anderson pimp a HR against him.
  20. Maybe Ozuna is pulling an Abreu with negotiations? Sox have no choice.
  21. Agreed. Hector doubling down after last night makes me think it is going to happen.
  22. I didn't say it wasn't. Go back and read my post, it was a total screw-up. I'm not sure what their line of thinking was. They didn't even bother to replace Thome's production. At least when they originally got Thome he was replacing Everett and what was thought of at the time a broken-down Thomas.
