  1. And that's an excellent problem to have. Sox will move the guys they can't accommodate for equal quality talent that fill other areas of need. Hahn has even mentioned as such that they have explored prospect-for-prospect trades in the past, but did not pull the trigger. Eloy, Basabe, Robert, Gonzalez, Adolfo, Rutherford, and Walker are not all going to get a chance to play on the White Sox. In fact, I'd even go so far to say I would not be surprised to see one of them moved this season.
  2. You can’t worry about what the system needs. Go BPA and worry about it later. Better to build depth and trade for need than draft for need.
  3. Not disagreeing, it was a terribly managed game. At least the Sox don’t see any value carrying Covey on the current roster construction.
  4. Supposedly sent down with Anderson’s return. Looks like Ruiz is here to stay.
  5. Eloy has to be pressing right now. Striking out way more than he should.
  6. That's not the first time I've seen Bush listed as an outfielder. He's supposed to be pretty raw with the glove.
  7. I believe riding the pine in Birmingham. They started Roman tonight.
  8. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2019-mlb-draft-stock-watch-revisiting-preseason-to-do-lists/ Interesting list. Vaughn dropped to 4. Abrams is now ahead of him at 3. Bishop not on the list, and Misner dropped to 31.
  9. Any chance you know what happened to Bummer? Kind of surprised he wasn't on the Knights roster that was posted, unless they have him in the Inactive/DL list.
  10. I think these guys misunderstood Rodon's quote. It was "shit or get off the pot," not "shit the bed."
  11. Obviously trying for a DP off a Covey sinker. But this is a bad idea. Guess Jones and Herrera can't pitch back-2-back games?
  12. Unbelievable. Let Cordell stay up when Jay comes back. Send down Engel.
  13. I think you're thinking about the season as a whole. Pretty sure he went hitless in his first 50 AB's or so - got a lot of comparison's to Ventura because of it.
  14. Hawk being a fan of the team is what I miss the most. For Stoney and Benetti, it's a paycheck. Hawk was relatable because he suffered through the same shit we did as fans and you could hear it in his voice. That's not to say Hawk was perfect, but I'd rather have a fan of the team I'm watching announce games. I think that's the one thing from Benetti that I can't quite get used to is how his emotion seems so forced. I like some of the analytics he brings to the game, but I'm not sold on him.
  15. Just once it would be nice to see a Sox top prospect not struggle from the start.
  16. Probably just trying to get him some protection and better pitch selection to get him going, but yeah... I don’t like seeing him that high.
  17. I apologize, it's my fault. Turned on the t.v. and immediate saw the base hit...
  18. Agreed. Anderson is important, but I don't think anyone is looking at him as a key cog in the rebuild. He's a very solid complementary guy, but not a player on the same level/expectation as Eloy/Yoan. If he could be a .250 20/20 guy out of the 8 hole, I think we'd all be able to live with that.
  19. Nope. The Twins chose to remove him from the 40, which required him to go on waivers. He still had options though.
