  1. The Sox literally don't view him as a starter.
  2. A team in the Sox current position don’t need long term, high-priced relievers. When the Sox signed Graveman they were in a totally different state.
  3. Apparently Tim’s wife Bria is pregnant per her Instagram. What a weird and odd situation.
  4. Actually makes a lot of sense... They clearly zapped him brain with that pen thing. Explains a lot.
  5. I think you’re the one that needs to look up the prerequisites for how one earns a save…
  6. He might have an inside track on the closer job if Santos isn’t ready.
  7. I’d agree, but it also probably seems that way because both Nastrini and Leasure are much closer to the majors than Quero and Bush.
  8. SS and CF are the only 'premium' positions. He's not wrong. 2B is where those who can't actually play SS due to average D, lack of an arm, or their bat is too weak end up. 3B is where SS go whose body fills out too much and they lose the ability to react quick enough for SS.
  9. I think that makes him an even worse GM than many thought. He was with the Sox for how many years? And he still couldn't operate within Jerry's budget or rules or whatever you want to call it. I hate how Getz was handed the position, but I am hopeful that he at least can operate within the restrictions Jerry imposes. We really won't know for at least another year or so though because this roster is largely still the leftovers from Hahn and KW.
  10. Colas did make a post insinuating there was frustration about not being promoted, but he never threatened to quit. That was Mercedes.
  11. I personally don't see this team being 10 wins better, especially if/once Cease is moved. Throw in a few key injuries and this team will be lucky to win over 65.
  12. Even with a subpar team, only 1 bobblehead day is a little surprising. They've yet to have a legit Vaughn one.
  13. ^^^ This right here. It's why they never win anything, and likely won't win anything in the next few years. You cannot win without supplementing your roster from the outside via trade or the FA market. They will half-ass their roster like RH and KW did with the Sox in 2021-2023.
  14. Certainly building up quite the collection of cheap, bad OF in Charlotte. I think there's a good chance this is the Opening Day RF. Link
  15. Cease coming in below what was expected is a nice surprise. Even cheaper for teams looking to trade for him.
  16. Can't pull off 3-team trades in the show. Can't even fall back on that.
  17. Eh, Charlotte needs arms that can start games - something they haven't really had in years.
  18. Could be the Yankees negotiating to scare the Sox. The way this offseason has gone, I don’t think anyone really knows who’s talking to who. There’s too many conflicting reports out there.
  19. There's probably a very real chance he's extremely immature and not ready for the bigs. For all we know he could be Mercedes 2.0.
  20. Getz did not, but I don't see anyway around it. He has to build innings and Charlotte is the best place to do that. He doesn't serve any value to the MLB team throwing 80 innings as a starter, with potentially skipping starts here and there.
  21. https://x.com/BNightengale/status/1744871222163484740?s=20 They finally did something.
  22. So he’s starting the year in Charlotte. And will be shutdown by June because of an innings limit. I don’t get how they are actually gonna pull this off with him. He has zero innings base.
  23. I really want Kjerstad, but if the Sox could grab Jones and Hampton they should. Jones has a lot of risk but Hampton might be the best arm discussed so far in these rumors.
