  1. I could seriously understand what was going the Sciosia's head once Clemens was done. The pitchers he brought in made absolutely no sense. Shigetoshi Hasegawa in the fourth or fifth inning. What the hell are you thinking. It's bad enough that a middle reliever is even in the ASG, but to bring him in that early or to even let him play at all is ridiculous!!!
  2. Chris Berman should know better than anyone and understand how ruthless fans can be. He has been covering the NFL for years. Football fans are ten times as brutal as baseball fans. To honestly think White Sox fans would cheer for Dusty, Kerry, or Mark is asinine. I loved it. I loved it even more when they booed the Twins, Royals, and Yankees players. Chris Berman you officially have proved that you do not belong in a major league baseball stadium! Especially not in Chicago. If you ask me I would have been ashamed if they didn't boo. :fthecubs :sosasucks
  3. I won't say that I bad-mouthed the Colon for Biddle trade because I certainly did not. However, I did have my doubts about Foulke for Koch and he hasn't let me down :dips***
  4. I have to say that the National Anthem was pretty bad. Did you hear Ms. Carlton destroy the lyrics. I distinctly heard her say " and the ramparts we light are so galantly streaming" You'd think one qualification for singing the national anthem would be to know the words, but maybe thats just me. She would have been better off just playing it on the piano and keeping her mouth shut!! My personal favorite rendition of the national anthem is when Zakk Wylde (a guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne) played it on an electric guitar at a Mets game. You can't possibly screw that up!!! It was awesome! Other than that I thought the all-star game was done very well. I hate to see them turn the midsummer classic into a circus, so I was very pleased with the conservative approach. It reminded me of the good old days when baseball was at it's best. Though Fox did it's best to destroy that, but failed miserably. I do still think Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are a great two-man booth. After that, the rest of them suck!!! :fthecubs
  5. If nothing else we know that the White Sox are an outstanding farm system for grooming relief pitchers. Anybody check out Keith Foulke last night? OOPS!!!!!!!!!
  6. I agree that the majority of the way Fox runs things pretty much sucks. They try to turn every sporting event into a retarded version of Tron (and Tron was retarded) with all that robot crap and the stupid space-age sound effects. Not to mention the morons on the sidelines blabbering like they have half a clue when it is obvious they are reading from a teleprompter and have no idea what they are talking about. However that being said I do really enjoy listening to games called by Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. I think they may be the best two-man booth for baseball I have heard since Hawk and Wimpy!
  7. I'd love to see them do it though. Wipe out a big chunk of their farm system for a centerfielder whom could potentially retire after this season and a disappointing third baseman whom has never been anything but potentially good. I guess you kind of have to take what you can get when every team keeps stealing your potential free agents or deciding not to let them leave!! I love watch the Cubs squirm. Buncha loser!!!!!!!!
  8. Duh. (Not meant to be mean) I'm sure when you have to abruptly quit the juice you're gonna shrink pretty quick no matter how much time you spend in the gym. Scammy probably just figured "screw lifting harder and longer. I think I'll just use this little black bat and nobody well know the difference". Well Scammy you are so BUSTED!!!!!! What a F*cking BUM!!! :finger :finger :finger
  9. I don't know why he would have used the bat last year, he really didn't need it until this year when they started enforcing the steroid test. But it wouldn't surprise me if the once svelt Scammy used the juiced arms and the juiced bat to gain an advantage
  10. I hope you're right man. I do agree about the pitching, but we've proven that a pitcher can go out and through a gem and we can still lose 1-0 or 2-1. If the offense does start performing up to their potential, look out. This team should be a "Murderers Row".
  11. At this point in the season there is nothing this team can do that can surprise me, other than win the division. That doesn't seem likely looking at the schedule for August and September especially. Look out below Cleveland, the Sox are coming. I really hope I'm wrong
  12. The only problem with your theory is when they were letting us down earlier they were playing a much more difficult schedule. I know you have all by now noticed that the month of July is by far the easiest month on our schedule. To think this team is going to turn it around after losing to the Devil Rays and Tigers is simply prepostorous. However, as a Sox fan and an optimist, I applaud your efforts to keep hope alive. But don't hold your breath. GO SOX!!

    Who

I was talking about it with my buddy Big Irish and he brought up an interesting candidate. Why not Ozzie Guillen. The man was the White Sox for so many years. He would be a perfect fit. He's at least way more lively that JM. The only problem is it may be tough to convince him to leave his job as base coach for the Devil Rays to join the sad sad SOX!
  14. I don't understand how Sammy or Alfonseca would even know what a boo sounds like. Cub fans don't pay enough to the game to know the score much less whom is performing poorly. When I think Cubs fan I think a yuppie who wants to pay $6.00 for a beer and talk on his cell phone for three hours with his one kind.

    Who

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I know you did not mention that name on a White Sox message board. BOO BOO BOO! Absolutely out of the question!!! Nice try though
  16. It has truly been a pleasure But it's not for me to say goodnight
  17. The funny thing is Bud's tyranny was put to the test when Carlos Tosca called Mike Scioscia and said you cannot pitch Roy Halladay. Bud decided to step in and say you have to pitch him at least one inning. It's disgusting that baseball is the only sport where the commissioner and the players are such enemies!! It's a winless power struggle that's just childish. I don't particularly like Bond's but what he is doing I strongly support. Big Ups BARRY!!!!
  18. Absolutely not, I was taking you're side on the comment you made to the fan that said Buehrle shows up lately but the fans do not. Settle down, I know we argued earlier today, but let's not get hostile
  19. I guess that's the optimistic way of looking at things!
  20. Whoops forgot to add the quote. But I was replying to you HotSoxChick! You're reply was dead on!
  21. My prediction is if the Sox lose three of four to the Indians or get swept Manuel will and should already be out on his ass! I don't honestly know whom should fill in, but they definitely need someone who will wip these sissies in to shape. Right now I have no desire to go back to another Sox game this year. If you asked me right now who the worst team in baseball is I would say the Chicago F*cking White Sox. PATHETIC! :finger
  22. It's really nice to see that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Did anybody hear Dave Wills comment on the post game show? He said," The Hot Dog that got hit upside the head with the bat last night would have been safe and sound if the White Sox were in the visiting dugout. They would have swung and missed!" SAD BUT TRUE :puke :puke :puke
  23. Barry strikes me a fairly moody individual. Before he started chasing that record, he wouldn't even talk to the media. Then you couldn't get him away from the post-game press conferences. Now you can tell he's getting a bit sick of it again. Besides everybody snaps and says something completely sarcastic at some point in their lives.
