I don't claim to be Sigmund Freud. But I like to think I have a little bit of common sense. If my assumptions are incorrect than you have my sincerest apology. I don't want to get into any arguments with the Subway Sisters!

Do you seriously think he would air his personal family business to the public. Everyone knows his father is terminally ill, and should have respected him enough to not ask him why he's not participating. It's quite obvious to me. If I was in his situation and asked the same question, I would have replied as sarcastically as he did! We all know Bonds doesn't and never has liked the media. This is all coming from someone whom doesn't even like Barry Bonds. I apologize if I assumed this was obvious. Apparently I gave you too much credit

After the game ended last night I truly was speechless. Now that I have had the opportunity to collect my thoughts I am more prepared to open this forum with a little more tact. The first thing I want to address is the batting order. What the hell was that. I'll admit it was very intriguing and seemingly productive in the first innning when Lee bombed and the bases were loaded (only to see the staple Joe Crede infield pop-up to end a rally). But after that inning one hit. One freaking hit. Why does JM refuse to stick with one line-up every game? Secondly what is up with the Sox inability to hit off a pitcher they see for the first time? If Bonderman is that effective how does that explain his overall record. Other teams with less pop in their line-ups have obviously been able to hit off of him. Rigodamndiculous!!!!!!!! That's it I've gone and upset myself again. I'll let you all sort this one out!

Naturally you are entitled to your opinion, even if it is completely cold and inhumane. I was simply replying to the comment that to think Bonds doesn't give a s*** is in fact asinine!
-
What are you talking about? I wasn't even referring to anything you said. I was commenting on a statement by someone else. I assure you I comprehended what was said quite well. Someone said Bonds doesn't give a s***. The sheer notion of that comment is asinine!!!!!!

If Barry Bonds doesn't want to participate in the homerun derby or the all-star game good for him. I know if my father was dying of a terminal illness I sure as hell wouldn't waste three days off where I could be by his side to participate in an exibihtion game! Shame on any of you who think Bonds just doesn't feel like participating.

A Deeper Look: Putting the Sox Over the Top
SweetJfour replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As my optimism wanes on this season, I refuse to give up on this team. There is no chance in hell, that a team with this kind of talent could possibly be this bad. I have said it before and I'll say it again. Get yourself some relief help and have Jerry Manuel leave the damn line-up alone and you got yourself a playoff team. What the hell kind of line-up was that last night. This team needs consistency. -
I have to give big ups to my boy the Bratwurst for having the presence of mind to leave the others behind and go on to win the race. Talk about capitalizing on an opportunity. Way to go buddy!!!!!!! But seriously, the way those suits are designed, where that girl got hit didn't even hit her. The head on those suits are completely empty. The person in those suits eyes are at chest level. Granted she may have fallen and bumped her knee, but lets not blow this out of proportion!!!!!!!!!!

It's great to see you supported the Sox, but it didn't help Thomas, so enough already. I voted on-line probably close to 1,000 times, but you don't hear me still talking about it. You want a cookie?

All I have to say about this travesty is that when Mike Sciosia is announced at the All-Star Game I sincerely hope the Sox fans at the game give him a warm White Sox welcoming. I settle for nothing less than him being tarred and feathered. Where does he get the balls to pull something like that. Giambi is a bum! I don't care what kind of stats he has. That line-up is loaded and there is a lot less pressure on him to perform. The White Sox would be battling with the Tigers and Indians for the bottom of the central if it wasn't for Thomas. Mr. Sciosia you are a true MORON!!!!!!!!

I really wish they would show an update of the current count on the vote so I can tell how many more thousand times I'm gonna have to vote. If this is somehow a ploy by Major League Baseball and some loser who doesn't win gets in like Giambi. I may renounce my baseball fandom. But in the meantime, back to the ballots!!!

Sounds like this is a forum for OPTIMISTS!! It is the current display of White Sox baseball that is the reason I never get overly enthusiastic when these trades go down. When they got Bartolo Colon, I was jacked, but wasn't ready to buy my World Series tickets. Then when they traded for Roberto Alomar and Carl Everett, I was relieved to see there would be no white-flag trade, but was still not even ready to book my playoff tickets. You can't expect a team like this to just get new players and become the greatest team in the league! That will never happen. This is baseball. The only sport I really know of where anybody can beat anyone at anytime. You just need to have a team solid enough where those disappointing losses to teams like Detroit and Tampa Bay are few and far between. Not three of your last four games!!!!!

I like the line-up I'm seeing above, but bench Daubach, put Rowand in Center, and DH Everett. That shores up the defensive liability of having Everett in center, and gets Rowand enough at-bats where we will be able to tell if he has a future with this time or not. With everyone else on the bench, we should have a solid starting line-up day in and day out and a very deep bench. Not to mention Thomas seems to hit better when he's playing first base!
-
It shouldn't make us the fans as sick as it should every single member of that clubhouse down to the bullpen catcher. Sorry Manchu Lee

The time is now to show our strength as SOX FANS!!! I personally am sick of hearing that White Sox fans don't support their team. That is a load of BS. You all know it and I definitely know it. I say we take this opportunity to get one of our own into the All-Star game and go for it. Nothing would be better than seeing Frank Thomas get a standing ovation as he gets announced before the game. Just might motivate him for an even bigger second half. Think about it? Not get off your asses and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!!!!
-
You couldn't be more right man! The only way this team is going to hit consistently is to be in the line-up everday. Maggs, Lee, Thomas, and Valentin are hitting fairly well and they are in the line-up everyday. Even Joe C has been heating up lately. You can't expect someone like Rowand, Konerko, etc.... to step into the line-up every three or four games and hit consistently. I know Rowand did it last night, but it can't honestly be expected every game. This team needs consistency more than anything else right now. If not for the at-bats, then to come together as a team. They need 9-10 guys to be the core and everyone else to feed off them. After all, how confident would you be if the person next to you in the field every other night or so is someone different? What do you say JERRY? It just might be crazy enough to work!!!!!!!!!

MOTHERF*CKING B*TCHASS DIPSHIT PASSIONLESS SOX!!!!
SweetJfour replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Does anybody else realize that the Detroit Tigers, whom have a pathetic record of 22-65 have beaten our beloved Southsiders 4 times this year. That is more than any other team obviously!!! We account for almost 20 percent of their total wins. I find that statistic to be both sickening and pathetic. Why is it that when the White Sox play a team they should easily beat by five or six runs, their bats go to sleep. Cockiness? I should hope not! Any team at or under .500 should be anything but cocky. What this team needs is to treat every game like it is the rubber game of a series. This team now has way too much talent to be dropping games to the Devil Rays and Detroit. I will settle for nothing less than the White Sox going out tonight and tommorrow and putting an all out ass-whopping on those pussycats. If they don't turn it around now, Cleveland whom has been fairly hot lately is going to have a field day with them. -
I say if the Sox make the moves they need to make this year to provide us with a winner and still fall short of the playoffs, then you seriously have to consider letting certain players walk. Maggs would be no exception! The team in 2000 had a lot less talent on paper and was significantly less expensive than the direction their going right now. If he wants to play hard ball let him, but I'm not so sure Joe Borchard is the answer yet!!!!!!
