  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) #HUGWATCH or in the White Sox case.... #SHRUGWATCH
  2. Can we all please stop b****ing at each other? We're all fans of the same "mired" team. Let's hug it out.
  3. QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) This sucks... I pick up my son in 15 minutes. The last hour of the deadline when all the action pours in - I'll be tied up. Gurrrr I'd rather hang out with my son than hope (for an hour) that my favorite baseball team's FO finally gets it right.
  4. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 01:46 PM) They don't know / haven't decided / can't decide That's what I'm afraid of
  5. I really wish that the FO would come out and say what the team's philosophy is. If you are "retooling" then hanging on to Chris Sale and Jose Quintana is a must. They are the strength of the team's core. If you are rebuilding, then it makes almost no sense to keep them. If you are rebuilding it makes even less sense to trade one and not the other.
  6. I wonder if this thread will surpass the Yoenis thread
  7. stupid question: when is the deadline? 3pm EST??
  8. I feel bad for the admins. The "How do I change my screen name" thread is about to be lit AF
  9. Chris Sale, the guy who has to be physically removed from the mound by park security when the manager pulls him... is not pitching tonight because "flu" I'm calling bulls*** on this one. Trade coming.
  10. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jul 20, 2016 -> 02:39 PM) Who's Chips? ah... the night of the long knives.... when the WSI mods took themselves too seriously, and banned the only posters keeping their forum current, and relevant.
  11. Can one of the White Sox pitchers drill Robin Ventura during the game tomorrow?
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 15, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) Yeah but 9:05 start on a friday? PTTHHHHHPPPP 10:05 where I'm at...
  13. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jul 14, 2016 -> 12:36 PM) Why wouldn't the Sox want to hold onto a perennial 30/30 guy? 30 caught stealing 30 errors ???
  14. "justice" will be done for Jose when the White Sox score some damn runs when he pitches. /s Kappa
  15. Man, those stats in the right column... I knew things were bad on the offensive side, but I didn't realize it was that bad....
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2016 -> 07:13 AM) Or the point from the article (see below), that well-rounded players like Springer, Polanco and Marte lost out to bigger "name" guys like Carlos Beltran and CarGo. Pretty shocking Duval was picked, although they had to go with someone from CINCY and his stats look good on paper, especially for a youngster. Seems the players mostly or completely ignored the concept of WAR and advanced stats completely. CarGo is having a really f***ing good year.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2016 -> 10:23 AM) The big question is whether Johnson, Tatis and the $25 million Sox commitment were agreed upon BEFORE the owner went off on him and he was shelled in Seattle for all those runs. If Hahn kept the deal on the table because it was a "gentleman's agreement" and didn't push to negotiate it down (again), he's an even bigger idiot than I previously thought. How much did that last week actually cost the Padres and Preller? Nothing? $5 million? $10 million? Considering Rick Hahn is "known" for his negotiating skillset, I highly doubt your scenario occurred. But what the f*** do I know... I've never negotiated with Hahn.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 28, 2016 -> 06:26 AM) Bobby Thigpen Damaso Marte Eddie Guardado Kelvin Herrera Greg Holland Wade Davis Ryan Madson Joakim Soria Dan Quisenberry Jeff Montgomery you forgot a few guys Jo Mama Heywood Jablome Suuk Madeek
  19. I think a part of the problem is that Frazier was brought in to "bring life" to the middle of the order hitting cleanup behind Abreu... when in reality on a playoff bound team, he would be hitting 5th or 6th. It speaks more to the lack of offensive production elsewhere on the order. Granted, he is having a WTF season, but I honestly think he'd be better off batting 5th or 6th, with a leftie thumper between he and Abreu.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 26, 2016 -> 05:02 PM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colum...625-column.html Paul Sullivan one of the first local Chicago media members to turn the accusing finger at Hahn. Holy f***ing s***, Paul Sullivan... it's June 27th.
