  1. Don't worry, y'all.... Once they get back to 500, they'll rattle off a 9-game losing streak. #debbiedowner
  2. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 05:46 PM) I thought Saladino looked at home defensively at 3rd today, I would much rather give him a serious chance at third for the next month or two. Made a couple loud outs on hard hit balls. Eventually, those are going to find holes into the outfield.
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:53 AM) Hahn really whiffed on EB. I don't think its all on Hahn. EB whiffed on being good at baseball. After all, he has a big league track record, and it's not like he's old and broken.
  4. The White Sox moved on. We all should too.
  5. Can Rockies players get suspended for smoking dope? Its f***ing legal in their own howntown.
  6. I hope he can regain his old form... before the injury, and strictly based on statistics and WAR, he was one of the top-10 relievers in all of baseball, closers included.
  7. I forgot about 2006 "Punch AJ" also last year's "Target Sale" was awesome. Fudging MLB.com balloting in 2005 with over 100,000 votes for Podsednik (via a JavaScript application) was also a personal highlight.
  8. Every terrible White Sox season since 2005, the team still gives us something to be proud of as fans... and something to remember. 2007: Buehrle's first no-hitter, Bobby Jenks' scoreless streak, Jim Thome's 500th homer. 2008: Carlos Quentin's MVP-caliber season, Alexei's Grand Slam, The Blackout Game, a playoff run. 2009: Mark Buehrle's perfect game and scoreless streak, Gordon Beckham's ROY-caliber season. 2010: 11-game winning streak, almost kind of pretended to be a contender. 2011: Adios, Ozzie! 2012: Phil Humber's perfect game, surprisingly competitive season until a September swoon. 2013: The road to Rodon! 2014: Jose Abreu's amazing MVP-caliber season. 2015: Chris Sale's record-setting Cy Young season. What else am I missing?? This is all off of the top of my head. The point being, despite the terrible season results and lack of playoff appearances, the White Sox still give us something to remember as fans - and even in the face of disappointment, give us something as baseball fans.
  9. I am surprised there hasn't been a "....if AJ was on the team...." thread yet.
  10. I'm sure the phone is ringing off the hook... They'll be lucky to trade him at all, the gravy would be getting anything of value in return.
  11. Any updates on him? I understand that he is bullpen fodder on a team that has a stable bullpen, but he was pitching really well.
  12. Samardzija s***s the bed (again)... and no one wants Don Cooper fired. Some how its the manager's fault that the starting pitcher wasn't prepared. Offense sucks and its again Robin's fault. Seems logical.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 27, 2015 -> 09:10 AM) Scherzer complained yesterday about getting hurt while hitting also. It won't be enough to change the NL over IMO, but it's interesting to see more talk about it. Then he should have signed with an AL team. Easy solution.
  14. Based strictly on performance and numbers, Robertson is the best pitcher on the planet right now. He is so fun to watch.
  15. The White Sox front office and coaching staff(s) know a HELL of a lot more about developing pitchers than anyone that posts on this board knows. I'm just glad he is pitching for the Sox. Can't we all just be happy with that?
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 26, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) LTP, without the LT. Incorrect, sir. The LTP is definitely there. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?sid=t494
  17. Won't be long before Chris Sale can be argued onto the list.
  18. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 9, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) does anyone use MLBfarm.com? i use it to keep track of of prospects i find interesting and in our system. Thanks for the tip. That looks awesome.
