This is probably just a personal thing, but it makes no sense to refer to a sports team as WE. "glad we won today." "That trade we made last week was awesome." "Wish we would steal more." You aren't on the team. You don't have a say in team transactions. You aren't coaching. Stop saying WE in reference to your favorite sports team. I'm sure I've done it, but I try to correct it when I catch myself saying it.

If you read the article, I think all the writer is really trying to get across is... he has good stuff, poor command, but has demonstrated SIGNIFICANT improvement since getting his ass handed to him in AA just 2 years ago. Think like this: If Petricka has come this far, why can't he continue to improve and be a top notch closer?

I was on my soapbox in the offseason, and I think went as far as to say the Sox offseason plan should center around trading for Castro. Crap... He's been TERRIBLE this year. And as a sidenote, his statline exposes Flowers' entirely EMPTY batting average. Castro 218/297/363 - 82 Ks Flowers 237/296/326 - 92 Ks and for s***s and giggles.... Grandal 196/285/354 - 49 Ks Maybe keeping Flowers wasn't such a bad thing? *shrug*
