QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 06:03 PM) Wouldn't signing Span require giving up a draft pick or am I going crazy? I think the Nats let him and Doug fister walk.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 16, 2015 -> 05:49 PM) Where and when did Frank say that he thinks we sign Upton? He was on Boers and Bernstein. he also said that all three players they gave up for Frazier were potential superstars. Sounds like he had a few to many

What about adding span to play CF? I would honestly like span and upton with eaton sliding over. Defense is upgraded and adding two solid OBP to this team would really help
-
Orioles DH Situation is terrible. Avg. 197 RBI: 42 Runs:47 HR: 14 OBP: 257. Dunn would be a nice power and rbi upgrade for them

Good signing, Take a look at koskes april splits. Usually starts the year pretty strong, something to think about with all the slow starters the sox generally have

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 8, 2011 -> 11:28 AM) I count $116 million for only Pujols, Wells, Hunter, Wilson, Weaver, Haren, Santana. That still leaves 18 more roster spots Abreu is owed 9 mil next year so 125 with 17 spots. They have a cheap closer but where do they put everyone? Kendrys at dh pujols first but then where do abreu and trumbo go? While they are in the spending mood they should just take rios.
-
Now that they signed cj wilson too they have spent 325 mil in a day. Yikes. Also they owe 18 mil to torii next season and 22 mil to vernon wells. Not to mention 14 mill for weaver. 13 mil for haren and 12 mil to ervin santana.

Whats the angels lineup look like now? Do they trade trumbo?

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Nov 15, 2011 -> 09:38 AM) I love DeAza. I really don't want to see him lead off because I like him somewhere in the middle of the order maybe 6th at least against righties. The HR total from that sample size may be the most misleading stat. Though he has added a little pop he is not a middle of the order guy and is more of a doubles hitter with speed and good base running skills that should only get better. I think a line of 280/350/ 400 would be very good for him. Around 25-30 2bs and 3 3bs maybe 4 hrs. And rios should definitely be in left. An entire off season to adjust should be enough for him to adjust since he already has alot of rf experience in toronto. Also, isn't this the last year viciedo is locked up for us?

hawk just signed a four year deal. s***

was it time to make a change?" No finishing 2 out of the last 3 seasons under 500 shows were heading in the right direction

I'm suprised they didn't walk him with first base open. HA yea right he is so bad. Even that hit was bad -
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) I was worried about that too. Hope they make it moot here in the 9th. Especially when not trying to swipe a bag. I guess hoping he would score on a gapper

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) Do we know he wasn't hurt by the HBP? (I'm hoping not....but that didn't happen right before he was taken out) No barely if even hit him

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:31 PM) Which means Ohman is two batters away from facing Hardy if he pulls Crain. Markakis maybe but yikes put in matt for him
-
wait ohman warming? ha good joke oz
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) The worst part is he at least used to have a good eye at the plate. Now it seems he swings at balls and takes strikes. Bobby valentine on baseball tonight said that he needs to go get his eyes checked because hes missing balls by a few feet

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) No one is going to walk Dunn right now, my friend. Eh maybe a with a righty on the mound. Never know and i think the right baseball move was to bunt but with us he prolly would have popped iit up
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2011 -> 08:19 PM) Do not bunt Rios Why not? 8th inning tie game to put winning run on third?

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 25, 2011 -> 12:05 AM) They might have to bring up an arm for tomorrow. At least Bruney would be gone. What's the story with Pena? He still alive? I seriously hope not -

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 24, 2011 -> 11:58 PM) BTW, Juan Pierre's OPS is now under .600. From wikipedia Bill James, in his essay titled "The 96 Families of Hitters" [4] uses seven different categories for classification by OPS: Great-----------.9000 and Above A Moderate--------.8333 to .8999 B Above Average---.7667 to .8333 C Average---------.7000 to .7666 D Below Average---.6334 to .6999 E Terrible--------.5667 to .6333 F Atrocious-------.5666 and Lower G
