  1. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) but he plays every day. that i guarantee you. i don't get why prado has to be a starter over carlos or chipper. his stats are rather pedestrian. http://espn.go.com/mlb/player/_/id/6513/martin-prado
  2. i don't think prado plays over chipper at 3rd.
  3. you wnder if this doesn't force atlanta to move faster than what they wanted. that wild card lead could shrink real fast. and while some here are saying the braves don't need a corner outfielder, i can tell you carlos brings alot more to the table than prado does. infact prado would be more valuable as a 4th outfielder and back up 3B
  4. the rangers have a couple of guys that kenny is looking for in young left handed hitter. engel beltre a young (21) left handed hitting center fielder. is not far from getting up to the league either. won't hit alot of homeruns but has + range and arm strength. also has tons of speed. basically a younger pierre but a much, much better outfielder. jake skole has a huge ceiling. can play all three positions in the outfield. has tons of speed too. has more pop than beltre. and is only 19. mike olt granted he hits right handed he is a power 3B. with a good glove. was a shortstop and has made the switch to 3B. here is their top ten with all three of these guys. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/watch/y20...ex.jsp?c_id=atl
  5. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 11:22 AM) you're suggesting they'd give us Beachy, Perez, Salcedo AND Schafer? you're nuts. like i said we don't have to trade and the braves could feel the pressure to get a big bat. i';m not saying it will happen just that if we could get at them this would be a good way to do it.
  6. if it is boston then we of course send carlos and matt out again. we get josh reddick OF, will middlebrooks 3B very good bat and a very good glove has 14 homers in AA so he has pop too while batting .304, lars anderson 1B with gonzales now there they have no room for him. has fallen some in their farm too. still has a good bat though, stolmy pimantal SP has a + fastball and changeup and a good curve, drake britton LHP SP like i have mentioned we can take alot more because we don't neccesarily have to make a trade, so teams will have to wow us. with this trade however we do not touch their top 3prospects. middlebrooks is #4. lars is 6 and stolmy is 7. drake is 10. then we get an outfielder to help now. and for the record boston can use a LHP reliever. boston top ten prospects http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/watch/y20...ex.jsp?c_id=atl
  7. you know the good thing right now is that we are winning and are in no rush to move carlos. so it will be up to the braves to get nervous and make a move to improve, thus giving up more than what they would originally want to. it's not like they have the wild card locked up. the cardinals are only 5 games back and they just shored up their pitching both starters and bullpen. the pirates are only 6 games back and you never know. and the diamond backs are only 4 games back. this might put pressure on atlanta to do something. so lets say they really feel they need carlos lets throw matt thornton in there too. in return we get. brandon beachy RHP, carlos perez LHP a 19 year kid that has 3 + pitches, eward salcedo SS/3B lets put in AA and get him playing 3B to be the future there. kid has outstanding bat speed that with maturity homeruns will come even more, jordan shaffer CF they are real happy with him. lets get him and put him at AAA for the rest of the year. i know he is DL right now but take him anyway. he adds to our farm team for this year and is a kid that could produce at the top of the lineup next year. i know this is alot but like i said, the braves could panick some and give it up. here are the braves top 10 prospects perez and salcedo are #5 and 6. then beachy and shaffer are kids that could help now or as soon as next year. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/watch/y20...ex.jsp?c_id=atl
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 27, 2011 -> 06:33 PM) Pretty stupid to move a gg caliber SS to 3B. geez i know, stupid yankees (arod) and orioles ( ripken) listen i was not saying do this. it was just an idea. instead of just locking into looking for a 3B what if we could get a legit SS. moving alexi to 3b would give us a good glove and arm there, as well as good bat.
  9. i know we are really weak at 3B and all. what if we to trade a CQ for a good young SS and moved alexi to 3B? he has the arm strength to do it. i know alexi is good at SS i love him there. but if we could get a good SS why not look at it. much like the yankees did with alex rodriguez.
  10. could you imagine an out field of: LF- dom brown CF- de aza RF- viceado sweet!!
  11. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 10:46 AM) I think KC is the seler and may have a bat or two to give up. Amazing how a teams fortunes can change. Pittsburgh a buyer? They have really turned their franchise around with that young talent Pittsburgh is actually a team I've thoughts we could trade with. Last night on baseball tonight they said Pittsburgh would be looking to use some of their young talent to get some help to make a second half push. so here is what I have come up with Pittsburgh gets; OF Carlos Quinton - a big bat they need need in the middle of their line up SP Edwin Jackson - a #2 or 3 for their rotation 3B Brent Morel - a young guy they can have. We get; 3B Pedro Alvarez - they have some competition already there. Their GM said that the spot wouldn't be just handed to him. So now might be the time to get him. He has a good glove, big bat, and huge arm. CF Gorkys Hernandez - a speedster with a great glove. Is batting. 300 in AAA. And. 340 the last month. Is more for next year. Has good base stealing potential Then have them name 3 untouchables from their Was and lower teams and then let us choose 2 prospects. This way viciedo gets called up. We get a legit 3B guy now, and we got CFer for next year
